ꜰʟᴏʀᴀ'ꜱ ᴘᴏᴠ

Looking at my shoulder, I wanted Riven to leave us, I thought he will leave but he's just standing behind me. Well, he's going to know about it in the future.

"Something is bothering you, what's wrong?" My mother started and I diverted my eyes away from them and stared at the ground.

I closed my eyes and calmed myself down. I need to know first about what I have before making a move about Lucas and Silas.

"Before that, can you please tell me about me...?"

With them glancing at each other, they looked back at me and the king sat next to me. He looked distraught as if he's trying to put words together on how to tell me it. Is it what he meant by 'some' earlier?

"Flora..." He held my hand and encouraged me to look up at him. "There's something in you that is a key to Aquaria's ancient library... A place where dangerous scrolls and books are kept away from wizards who wants to learn forbidden spells..."

I just can't understand it... How do I possessed something that is too precious to the kingdom? I haven't receive anything. However this time, my mother started talking and I looked at her to listen closely. I want to know the truth.

"Many centuries ago... The very first queen vowed to keep the library hidden from evil and twisted wizards. She swore her words to the ancient beings who gave us the power that her bloodline will protect it themselves." My mother sat down next to me and smiled softly at me. "The holder of the key will continue to pass it down for eternity. The late king died as you were born and there we know you are the chosen one..."

"As years passed by, the number of wizards wanting to obtain the key hasn't decreased..." This time it was my father who's explaining. "All of the wizards are clueless on who and what the key is. All they know is someone from the royal family has it..." I could see sadness lingers in his eyes as he let out his next words; "My dear sister was killed with the thought that she was the holder of the key..."

I felt my heart ached just imagining it. I heard that story when I was young but I couldn't comprehend it until now. It was a brutal kill from what I remember. But why would they want it so bad? Is that place too powerful?

"The holder of the key contains a high amount of magic and it can alert the wizards when being used. We both tried to do everything about it because me and your mother know how much you love using your wand back then..." He let go of my hand to stand up, he sighed and looked between me and Riven before looking away. "Then we learnt that we can permanently remove your wizard power and replace it by channeling yourself with magic source to gain fairy power..."

My eyes widen in surprised at that information. No wonder I learned nature power so quickly! I thought it was because I was surrounded by magical plants back at Lynphea.

"It took us years to enchant you to have fairy power instead. We eradicated your need to use wand and thought of a way for you to keep your passion. We searched and searched for a place where you can have that peaceful environment and there we found Lynphea. That planet is surrounded by forest and trees and the closest and easiest way for you to use magic again is through vines and nature... It is by connecting and communicating with the nature that gives you power..."

Looking down at my flower bracelet, I smiled sadly and nodded in understanding at their reason and way to keep me away from danger. "Therefore you did it to protect me..." I muttered to which they nodded.

"It was hard for us to do it sweetheart..." I suddenly felt my mother's arms around me where I quickly returned it by hugging her back, craving for her hug more and more. "All you need to know is we keep on searching for a way to get that key away from you..." She added softly.

Key, they keep talking about the 'key' but they haven't told me what it is.

"Your majesty... What key are you both pertaining to...?" My eyes showed desperation as I don't want to keep holding this key, it's more like a curse to me. "I don't want this key... I want everything back in normal..." My voice almost cracked but I maintained myself.

Silence lingered for a minute as the both of my parents are just staring at each other, trying to find as answer to my question.

"We can't tell you what the key is..." the king started and sighed, he looks ashamed as he uttered his next words. "There's a wizard that is after you and-"

"Silas"

I cut him off and his eyes widened in complete shock and fear. I clutched my fists and stared at them seriously after mentioning the name I wished I would never have to face.

"That wizard is Silas, isn't it?" I repeat when my parents are both lost of words as I can see Riven glaring at me. Of course he would be mad, I didn't tell him something important as this. I wanted to resolve it by myself. "I already know that someone is after me. I met another wizard when I was at Magix and he told me about Silas and they both know my whereabouts"

"Wait Flora, you didn't bother letting me know!?" Riven sounded angry and crossed his arms. "You know how dangerous it is!"

Despite Riven's words and glare, I kept looking at my parents with stoic expression as I'm done playing games. I'm desperate to know about everything that I deserve to know.

"Silas... He's still at it..." Roland, my father, spoke with anger in his voice. "He's the one who got your aunt killed" He looked at my mother for a wordless approval before glancing back at me. "Silas... Is a wizard who can rob knowledge... He is one of the wizards who seeks for the key..."

"Flora please understand, Silas can gain information once we told you the whole truth... We are doing this to protect you" Lily begged me with her hands on top of mine. "We enchant wizards who seeks the key by making them forget the faces of the royal family... So please, not even Nabu knows about the key you're holding..."

This is tiring, I came here to get answers and yet I am my main question is left unanswered and it apparently will be; this key, what is it?

"Since Silas knows about your location at Magix, you and Riven will stay at Aquaria and we will protect you-"

"No!" I stood up with my eyes glaring at them. "I can protect myself from this Silas" I tried to make myself believe that I can when in fact, it is just an excuse for me not to be away with the Winx and Helia. I can't leave them! "If needed, I can continue using magic to divert them away from me!" Smiling at my idea, I expected them to agree to my words but they didn't respond.

"You will be safe here..."

"I will be safer with my friends..." I lowered my voice and my eyes looking at them softly and shame for my next words; "You decided to give me away at Linphea because you can't keep me safe here... I-" I stopped myself as I saw the hurt in my mother's eyes and I took a step back.

Okay that's enough.

With tears at bay, I looked at all of them with embarrassment before storming back into the palace and into the hallway. I just let my feet dragged m3 wherever it wanted to go as long as I don't face to them them. How could I say such things at my parents!

This is getting much complicated.
