"Father must be looking for me" I murmured to Riven who sat on the opposite chair. It has been 30 minutes waiting for him to come back while at the garden which I can say it really needs a lot of work with, who manage this poor garden anyway? That girl? "Should we head back inside?"
He chuckles and raised his legs on the chair next to him. "They have trackers here Flora, they are wizards remember" He tried to make himself comfortable and I couldn't stop thinking at how inappropriate he is in every occasion. But did he mentioned about trackers? I heard of that when I was a kid but thinking about it now gives me a chills at how creepy it can be that made me frown at the thought of it. "Woah, not that kind of tracker. Of course they have limits on who and where the person is" he wanted to laugh after clarifying himself, guessed my expression said it all.
To be honest, that didn't help at the very least. I was glaring at him and suddenly got startled when my phone rung, I forgot to call Helia! Standing up with a panic face, I hurriedly went to a bush and answered the call.
"Flora! Thank God you pick it up" There are voices in his background which he became aware off before moving into another spot.
Looking up at Riven, he just shrugged at me, telling me to continue. "Uhm Helia?" I needed to lessen the time on the call or else someone will come.
"I'm sorry flower, I just needed to find a place" He scratched his hair and I smiled. I'm already missing his touch, maybe we might go back tomorrow or later.
"It's fine Helia, sorry for not calling back, it's just getting busier over here" I looked down, he really did call me few times and I got guilty knowing he's just worried for my well-being and wanting to make suer I'm alright.
Looking up to look at the screen, the view there is amazing. The palm trees and the sound of the waves are so relaxing that I just want to go dive in. "So when will you be here? The girls misses you" If he was here, he would be stroking my hair in comfort as I curled up in his arms.
I was smiling softly at him, almost getting lost in his eyes but the sound of the door snapped me out of it. "I'll have to know first, I- oh Helia? Can I call you back? It's urgent" without him answering back, I ended the call which made me feel bad because it was rude.
Riven stood up and bowed before I rose up on my feet at the newcomers. "M-mother" I cracked myself a smile with my feet moving inches closer to her. I kept some distance with her as I stood in front of her, my hands behind my back.
There she stood all gracefully with the king behind her, she has a wide smile and her eyes reflects mine. Although her eyes are dark green while mine are a bright one.
"Oh sweetheart, we heard so much about you from Linphea" She cooed softly and I blinked a couple of times as she opened her arms and invited me for a hug.
Of course I didn't hesitate and ran into her arms. It feels so familiar not from those years ago but as if I've been hugging her throughout my stay at Linphea.
We all sat in the garden with Riven standing behind me. I suddenly felt my tongue tied about the questions I wanted to ask when I was at Gardinia, I guess it was just due to pressure and what I will get.
"Hali, with Nabu still in coma... Are you here to reclaim your throne?" she started which I cut her off by holding her hand.
I gathered my courage up and politely spoke up. "I'm not here to reclaim my crown... I'm here as a worried fa-fairy for a kingdom who's heir isn't active..." I took a deep breath and looked at them seriously.
"Mother, Father... I've been longing to come back here with unspoken questions..." Looking at Riven through the corner of my eyes, I know I can't ask them yet about Lucas and Silas. He needs to be away. "yet my heart ache for what happened with Nabu. He's getting alright recently with no reassurance. But the thing is, I read from the book that without an heir, the extended families would push their children to the throne and will disregard the person who's supposed to be next and I got worried"
Pausing for a bit, I can see the adoring eyes of my parents as they urge my to continue.
"It's Nabu's dream to rule the kingdom and I don't want any conflict about it knowing you, father, will going to step down on your throne" I finished my distraught about my brother as my parents knows I'm also here for something else.
The two in front of me blinked then glanced at each other. "Very well said" Roland started and nodded in understanding. "Hali, I extended my time on the throne. It is strictly prohibited to bring royalty matters outside of these walls. The others know Nabu is at Magix and we are all doing here normally" He smiled and I let out a sigh of relieve. Thankfully there's no conflict. However, I can't help it but to feel embarrassed to acting too much about it.
"Darling, don't be ashamed of what you said. We are actually happy you cared for us even we left you at Linphea..." Mother said and I couldn't stop smiling. "I'm proud at how caring you are, they really made you into a soft and sweet child like I always wanted to" she added before standing up and kissing my forehead.
I could hear Roland's agreement and Riven's chuckles behind my back. I embraced with a big one while glancing behind to see Riven raising his thumb to me. Now...
"But we know that you got here for something else, Dear..." Roland said and I nodded seriously as we part ways. "It's fine for us to explain some details..."
I stiffened out but sat down as I felt Riven's hand on my shoulder.
