Chapter 6

"Sarah, are you sure of what you know?" I asked Sarah when she visited me in my office.

Sarah let out a deep breath before she spoke again.

"I'm sure Margot, this private investigator I hired has never made a mistake," Sarah answered.

" I don't know how to tell Eli the truth about her mother," I said.

"Margot, I know it's hard for you to do this, but you're the only person who has the right to tell Eli the whole truth about her mother because you're the only family she has left besides Zia," Sarah said.

I was silent for a moment as I thought about how I could tell Eli the truth about her mother. How can I tell her that Sarah has found her mother?

"I don't know how to tell Eli everything, knowing that she's been through a lot in life," I said.

"Her relationship with Zia can't continue because they are sisters, Margot, do you hear me?." Sarah said.

At this moment I feel even more sad for Eli, especially when I remember how much she loves Zia.

"Margot, you will tell her the whole truth about what you know whether you like it or not." Sarah insists.

I just looked while my heart was heavy for Eli.

It's been a few days since I last talked with Sarah. Today I visited Eli in her office. I was just standing there debating whether to open the door or not but someone suddenly spoke behind me which was the reason for my shock.

"Doctor Margot?" it was Zia's voice so I quickly turned around.

"Zia? How are you?" I asked.

I saw her face full of surprise but she was trying to hide it from me.

"I'm fine. How are you? I heard from Eli about your real relationship Doc. and I'm happy because Eli has a family to call now." Zia said.

"Zia, can we talk? Just the two of us." I said while looking at her.

" Just the two of us?" Zia repeated.

"Don't get me wrong but I have something important to tell you," I said.

Zia just nodded as she looked at me.

"Let's talk at the coffee shop across this building," Zia said and walked ahead of me.

A few moments later we were inside the coffee shop. I saw Zia looking at me as if she was waiting for what I had to say.

I cleared my throat before I spoke.

"Zia, how well do you know your parents?" My first question.

I saw Zia was shocked when she heard what I said.

"What do you mean Doc?" Zia asked, but I saw her hand shaking.

I held it and carefully squeezed it.

" Zia, based on your reaction today I see that you know something about your family. Can you tell me what you know?" I asked.

"Doc, if I know anything, I'm sorry but that will remain with me," Zia replied.

I smiled while looking at Zia.

"I understand your point, but Zia, can you continue your relationship knowing that you are sisters? She is also your half-sister, Zia." I said.

At this moment I saw that she was even more shocked.
