Travis's POV

"Darling?" I say quietly, knocking on Taylor's door. I had let some time pass before I got up and went to try and talk to Taylor. She had been crying for a while which made me feel like even more of a jerk.

"Don't you think it's a bit inappropriate to call me darling?" She mumbles whilst opening the door. She's standing there with her head tilted to the side, her messy curls all over the place and her eyes and cheeks are a bit red. And she's clearly pissed off.

"Sorry da— Taylor." I whisper, looking down at her.

"What do you want?" She says sharply, her tone of voice carrying my eyes to hers instead off all over her body.

"I.. um, just wanted to explain earlier..." I stutter, dropping my hand from the door frame it was resting against.

"Okay..." she says widening her eyes for a second, ouch. Her teenage girl is really showing right now.

"I'm really sorry. I'm an adult, I should've known better. It really wasn't okay of me to do and I'm really sorry that I did it." I say quickly and confidently.

"I'm an adult too..." she whispers, then jerking her chin up towards me a little, catching my attention instantly.

"Oh yeah I know, sorry I want trying to say that you're a kid. I'm just double your age and really shouldn't have done what I did no matter how much I wanted to do it." I ramble, not thinking before I said that last part.

"And how much did you want to do it?" She smirks.

"W-what?" I say.

"I think you heard me Travis." She says, taking a small step forward. I gulp in a hope to clear my dry throat before I respond but it didn't work.

"I-I... Taylor... you're my best friend's daughter..."

"So? And that still didn't answer my question." She says letting her hand fall down from the inside doorknob.

"I really wanted to." I say, praying that I'm reading her signals correctly.

"Oh my god... you've been preying on me?" She says.

"No! No! Not like that!" I say instantly, waving my hands in front of me.

"What a weirdo.." She smiles but I'm so caught up that I didn't see she was messing with me.

"No I swear that's not what I meant, what I meant was—" I suddenly get cut off by Taylor's lips pressed against mine, her hand holding my chin and her other arm going around my neck.

I take a small hesitation but kiss her back after a second. I put my hands on her waist gently, testing her boundaries before I go any farther.

"I think I know what you meant Travis..." She pulls back for a second to say before latching her lips back onto mine, letting her tongue press against my lips which I gladly part for her. But I don't let her take control just yet.

I slide my tongue between her lips before she can do the same to me. Taking one of my hands and sliding it up to ruffle through the back of her hair, finding the right spot to rest my hand. Then moving the other hand tightly around her back and tugging her against me.

"Taylor—" I whisper. She hums in acknowledgment but continues kissing me.

"We should talk first—" I say as she try's to lean back in to kiss me.

"Darling." I say moving my hands to her shoulders and pushing her backwards a little tiny bit. That seemed to get her back into her right of mind.

"Yeah sorry..." She says wiping her lips with the back of her hand as she turns and goes into her room. I follow her and sit next to her on her bed.

"You're 19..." I say after a while.

"And you're 37..." She responds, turning her head to look at me.

"Mhm." I hum, too busy studying her face up close to respond with a real answer.

"So..." She says, her cheeks flushing with pink as I look at her.

"So no one would ever be able to find out if we were to continue this." I say boldly, reaching my hand up to cup her cheek, assuring that she'll continue keeping her eyes on me and nothing else.

"I'm okay with that..." She says with a smile.

"Are you darling? No cuddles, no kisses, no sweet compliments... not in front of anyone in this town, or anyone you know." I say rubbing her cheek with my thumb.

"Not here... since my parents right..?" She says quietly and I nod.

"Then we better cram that all in this weekend." She whispers.

A/N this is so short and late, I'm sorry
