Katsuragi made his way to the front of the class as several of our classmates were whispering amongst themselves. Oddly enough, my seatmates to my left and in front of me, Morishita and Sanada, were among the few that didn't say anything.

Sakayanagi, who was sitting besides Morishita, also didn't say anything and just watched Katsuragi make his first move. "My name is Katsuragi Kouhei. I am planning on joining the student council when they open up their applications. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

He gave everyone a slight bow and glanced at a student in one of the front seats, presumably to urge him to start the introductions of the entire class. "Alright, alright, I get it," the student said as he stood up and directed his attention towards the class.

"My name is Hashimoto Masayoshi. Nice to meet you all. Unlike baldy over there, I don't plan on doing something as ambitious as joining the student council, but let's all get along regardless."

Hashimoto's introduction managed to get a few laughs from some of the girls. While everyone was a little on edge when Katsuragi introduced himself, probably because of how intimidating he looks at first glance, Hashimoto managed to ease the tension by making a jab towards him.

"Alright, how about we make this a bit more interesting? The last person to have introduced themselves is allowed to choose who the next person is to introduce themselves." Just like that, Hashimoto easily took over the introductions. While Katsuragi definitely seems to be a capable person, it was best to do introductions with someone who had more charisma and is able to lighten the mood.

In that aspect, Hashimoto definitely seemed to surpass Katsuragi. "Let's see... the girl with the lilac hair in the back, you're up!" Hashimoto pointed towards Sakayanagi, who closed her eyes and smiled when she saw him pointing at her.

"Very well," Sakayanagi stood up, "My name is Sakayanagi Arisu. I'm looking forward to sharing a classroom with you for the next 3 years."

While it may have been subtle, something about the way that Sakayanagi put emphasis on 'you' made me think back to the odd remark she made in the gymnasium. Rather than addressing the entire class, it felt like she was focussing on one specific person.

"I'll choose Ayanokouji-kun to introduce himself next. Don't disappoint me, alright?" She chuckled as she sat back down. A few classmates turned to me with confused expressions, probably wondering how Sakayanagi knew my name. But it's not that unbelievable that I've talked to her before now, is it?

"Uhh..." As soon as I started my introduction, I made a horrifying discovery. I am, in fact, completely unprepared for an introduction. What is the best way to go about this? Should I make a joke like Hashimoto? Should I express my gratitude to be in this class like Sakayanagi?

Before I could get my thoughts straight, I'd already started introducing myself. "My name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. I don't really excel at anything, but I practice piano and tea ceremony. Nice to meet you all."

I could hear a light chuckle from the guy in front of me as well as Sakayanagi, who was looking at me with an amused expression. All things considered that didn't go horrible at least.

My plan was to choose my seatmate, Morishita, to do her introduction next. But as I looked over, I realized she was asleep on her desk. If anything it was impressive that she didn't even try to hide it. Her head was resting on her arms with her sleeping face directed towards me. While waking her up would be the wise thing to do, she looked oddly peaceful sleeping on her desk, so I decided to pick Sanada as the next person to introduce himself.

The introductions went relatively smoothly after that. With each person the class got a little less tense and people started introducing themselves more openly and shared more information. The only person that left any kind of impression on me was a shy girl named Yamamura Miki, but only because she stuttered after every half word she spoke. Morishita never ended up introducing herself though, I suppose nobody really wanted to wake her up if she wasn't causing any trouble for the class.
