Together Again (Part 1)

Friday couldn't have come sooner for both Mia and Char. What was a couple days from their FaceTime call, felt like weeks apart.

At the nursery that day, Charlotte has the biggest smile on her face all day. Carly could tell Char was excited "ooo. Why have you had the silliest smile on your face all day Char?". Charlotte was shocked that people around her could tell. "oh. I'm seeing Mia tonight. I'm going straight when I finish my shift".

"Ahh, Mia! The love of your life. One day you will call her your Wife!". Carly teased Charlotte. Charlottes eyes went wide and her cheeks bright red. "Carly!!.... I don't think we're anywhere near that stage yet. We're still getting to know each other". Carly gave Charlotte a smirky grin before the final parent came in to do handover with the final child for the day.

All the children had gone home for the day and Charlotte and Carly tidied the rooms. The rooms didn't get too messy so they set up some activities ready for Monday to save some time in the mornings. They collected their things from their lockers and went to the office to see Autumn. "Hi Autumn, we are ready to leave whenever..... oh" Charlotte said as she was walking through the door. She didn't knock like she normally does and interrupted a moment between Autumn and Winter. "Hi Charlotte. We will lock up. Have a good weekend. See you Monday." Winter said, trying to scurry Charlotte and Carly out as quick as he could. Luckily Carly didn't see anything, so Charlotte decided to leave her confused as to what was happening as payback for her comment earlier.

"I see you mum Carly. Have a lovely weekend" Charlotte said to Carly as they walked away from the nursery. Carly smiled "I would say have a lovely weekend too, but we both know you've got a busy night ahead of you". She laughed at Charlottes face "Carly, that's not funny. See you Monday." Charlotte said quickly getting in her car so Carly couldn't see her getting flustered. The though of seeing Mia made Charlotte get butterflied. To see Mia again, feel her soft hair. Smell her perfume. Charlotte suddenly was getting all hot at the thought of being near Mia again. She was thinking about what Mia could have planned or if she planned anything at all for tonight and wanted a quiet one. Either way, she didn't mind and just wanted to be close to her. Charlotte decided she was going to go home first to quickly change then drive to Mia's. She sent Mia a message before driving off.

Mia's phone buzzed. "Hiya lovely. I'm just heading home to get dressed quickly and then I'll be there. I will be about half hour xxx". "Hi sweetheart. No problem. Wear something comfy. See you soon xx". Mia started to panic that she was going to see Charlotte in less than 30 minutes. She wanted everything to be perfect. Mia decided to go down the cosy route and plan a movie night. She jazzed up her living room. She added fairy lights everywhere and a few candles, so no main lights needed to be turned on. She brought new teddy blankets and big cosy pillows and laid them on the sofa. Mia's sofa could be rearranged, so she made it into a bed shape, so they could lay on the sofa together. She had bowls with some of Chars favourite snacks and some of her favourite drinks in the fridge, so they stayed cold. On the side table, was a bunch of black roses waiting for Charlotte, and a bucket of champagne on ice with 2 of Mia's fanciest glasses ready for them. Mia had also put the radio in her kitchen on low, but loud enough you could hear it in case Charlotte didn't want to watch movies, but just wanted to chill.

Mia was so nervous, but she was getting the same butterflies Charlotte had in her car. She had never felt this way for someone before and didn't want to ruin anything for either of them. Going for the cosy night meant it didn't need to have the awkward eye contact in case Charlotte didn't feel the same way towards Mia but it bring them closer if they were on the same page. Mia kept thinking about Charlotte comment "I think we've done enough talking". What did Charlotte mean by that Mia kept thinking. Did she want to move to the next step. But what was the next step to her. The last time she stayed round, Mia was drunk. Was staying round the next step or was there anything more. Mia was interrupted from her anxious thoughts when she heard her door knock. "Omg Charlotte is here. How has that been 30 minutes". She quickly fixed her hair in the mirror before answering the door.

The biggest smile appeared on both Mia and Char's faces when Mia answered the door. "Hi Sweetheart. Come in" Mia said gesturing Charlotte inside. Charlotte stepped inside and stared at Mia. She couldn't believe how stunning she looked. "Hmm what smells so nice? Have you cooked something?" she said to try and distract herself from staring at Mia. Mia smiled "its your favourite. Chicken and chorizo rigatoni". Charlotte's eyes went wide in being surprised that Mia made her favourite dish. "You made me favourite" she said to Mia. Mia smiled "Mhm. Come. I got your favourites snacks and drinks too. I thought we could have a cosy night. Watching movies or tv shows. What ever you want. We don't have to watch anything. We can play my switch" Charlotte was starring in awe watching Mia ramble on "I didn't want to be awkward with a dinner. Is this too much. It is too much isn't it. I didn't want to give you any pressure. I....."

Mia was silenced. Charlotte was kissing her. Omg Charlotte was kissing Mia. Charlotte's hands were on both Mia's cheeks. Softly kissing her lips. Mia couldn't believe how soft Charlotte's lips were. Mia felt like she was in a dream. She put her hand on Charlotte's waist to pull her in to deepen the kiss. Charlotte's hands now in Mia's hair while Mia's traced up and down Charlottes back. The were smiling into the kisses but Mia had to pull back. "Sweetheart. As much as I don't want to stop this. I think I can smell the dinner burning" she laughed.

"Oh. Sorry was that too much" Charlotte said overthinking what she had just done. She couldn't believe she stopped Mia and made the first move. She has never done that before. She's never thought she'd have the confidence to do something like that. She had a sense of feeling safe to do that and no Mia wouldn't judge.

"Not at all sweetheart. I loved it but I want us to enjoy and eat dinner". Mia replied quickly running to attend the dinner. Charlotte laughed, finally taking off her shoes and walking into Mia's kitchen. "I'm just going to dish this up now. Make yourself comfy wherever. Where shall we eat".

"We can sit at the table if you want" Charlotte said. "Of course. Let me get the chair for you" Mia replied pulling the chair out for Charlotte and pouring her a glass of wine.

"Thank you" Charlotte says to Mia, stroking her hand as she leaves to grab the plates. "Let's eat" Mia says eagerly sitting down and putting the plates down.

I have split this chapter into 2 chapters as it would've been a really long chapter. It will be a continue from this about the rest of their night together.
