Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone. I hope you are all still enjoying my story as much as I am writing it. This chapter does not reflect anything of what happened at Charlotte's halloween ball last Saturday. I had this chapter in mind before hand but wanted to wait until Halloween to post. Hope you enjoy :)

Charlotte was doing her hair and makeup, getting ready to go to Mia's for the Halloween Ball. She had Annie and Bella with her, but George was coming to collect the girls. Not long later, Charlotte was curling her hair and the doorbell rang. "Annie darling. Did you want to go and answer the door. Your dad is here." Charlotte asked her eldest, who was sat in Char's bed watching her beautiful mother. "Yeah sure" Annie replied getting out of the bed and heading to the door. She answered the door, but instead of her dad, Mia stood there.

They both stood there with surprised faces. Annie's because she was expecting her dad but there stood Mia. Mia shocked because she thought Char's children would already be at their dads. "Hi little one. You must be Annie?" Mia broke the silence. "Yes. Who are you?" Annie asked. Mia smiled. "I'm Amelia. I'm a friend of your mums." Mia looked into Annie's big eyes. "You're so beautiful like your mama". Annie began to blush but tried to hide it to by trying to be serious "And how do I know you're a friend of my mum" she asked with her arms crossed. "Firstly, good girl for not just letting me in. Ask me any question about her" Mia said.

"What's her favourite colour?" Annie quickly asked. "Blue"

"Where does she work?" "At a nursery"

"What's her favourite flower?" "Black Rose"

"Hmmm" Annie was impressed that Mia knew her answers. "Come in. Mama's upstairs getting ready" "Oo okay. Show me the way". Annie grabs Mia's hand and take her up the stairs. Mia instantly smiles. She automatically thinks of her Charlotte. Her daughter holding her hand just the way Char does. She was feeling love for Annie even only meeting her for a few minutes. She's heard so much from Charlotte, she feels like she already knows Annie. Mia began to feel all giddy. Of course, she knew the way to Charlottes room but wanted to pretend she didn't for Annie. Mia was starting to get a feeling in her stomach. She was wondering how Charlotte would feel her being here while her kids are here. They had not got to the topic of meeting the children yet so this would be shocking to Char.

The door was cracked open. A faint sound of one of Char and Mia's favourite songs playing in the background. Her little girl takes after her mum, softly singing away to the song as they reach the door. "it's to cold, for you here...mama, your friend is here" Annies says as we walk through the bedroom door. "Darling what frie... omg Mia!" Char turns around completely stunned. She quickly stands up from her vanity. She first goes to Annie and kneels down to her height "Annie darling. Do you want to go to Bella's room and make sure she's packed up her Sylvanian Families for your dads. He'll be here soon". "Okay mama". Charlottes gives Annie a kiss on the cheek just before Annie runs to Bella's room and Charlotte quickly shuts her door. She turns around and runs into Mia's arms "What are you doing here. I thought you were coming later" Charlotte says ecstatically, giving Mia a quick kiss on the lips.

"Sorry sweetheart. If I had known your girls were still here, I wouldn't have come. I wanted to surprise you" Mia says, returning a kiss.

Charlotte moves her arms around Mia's neck "Don't apologies. You were going to meet them at some point. Plus. It's now saved the awkwardness of planning to meet them" Charlotte laughs. Mia joins in. "You didn't say how much I would be questioned by Annie. She was gunning me down" Mia continues laughing. "She must like you. She's a very good judge of character" Charlotte replied. "Well, I am a great person I must say myself" Mia continues.

They look into each other's eyes "Charlotte" Mia started. "Yes" Charlotte replied. "Sylvanian Families" Mia laughed. "What.. they are great. I loved them and now so does my Bella". They both laughed to one another when Charlotte's phone starts ringing. "Hiya love. Yeah, that's alright. See you in a minute. Byee" Charlotte ends the call and looks back at Mia, who is watching Char. "What" Charlotte asks Mia "You just look gorgeous sweetheart" "Awww... George is just round the corner. I'll just get the girls shoes on. You can wait here if you want?" Charlotte says to Mia. "Sure. Take your time" Mia replies. Charlotte leaves the room and waits for George to pick the girls up. About 15 minutes later, she returns to the bedroom. "What's in the bags?" She asks Mia. "Your costume for the ball" Mia replies. Charlotte gets all excited and grabs the bag. "I'll go get changed now. We need to leave soon if we want to be on time". Mia stands up with another bag with her costume in. "I'll go in the bathroom and get changed into mine. You get changed into yours in here" Mia suggests. "Ok. Let me know when you've got changed" "Will do sweetheart" Mia says heading towards the bathroom.
