For once I can say that I'm happy that Lloyd flies like a crazy man. We weaved through trees quickly. Our surroundings whizzing by in a flash.

The only problem with the way we are flying is that we might miss Skylor. I don't think if I yell at the top of my lungs Lloyd will be able to hear me at the moment. He continues to stare ahead of us. It's almost like he isn't human anymore.

To be fair we are both under a lot of stress at the moment.

'Kid. Sometimes, you think to much.'

At least I talk in my head and know when to shut up. I roll my eyes and try to make out some of the shapes that pass us.

I take make anything out. If I can't I know for a fact Lloyd can't. "Lloyd!" I try to make my voice carry despite the wind around us. It seemed to work. Maybe a bit to well. Because a moment after his name left my mouth we came to a still in the air. The only sound being the wings of the dragon beating as Lloyd turns his head to look at me.

"Are you okay? Did you see something?" He turned back forward looking for anything that I might have seen.

I shook my head and tapped his shoulder for him to look back at me. "I'm fine and I can't see anything at the speed we are going." The forest around us was to quiet. Like all the birds and bugs fell asleep at the same time. "I'm going to bet that you can't either."

When Lloyd finally looks back at me, I can finally see how tired he is. He looks like a mixture of death, stress, and adrenaline. Not the best mix of emotions.

"Slow down and let me fly." I use a tone I haven't used in a little more than a year. It's the one that I would use on students to make sure they knew it wasn't up for argument.

I can see the gears in his head turning. As if letting me fly could do some kind of harm. But finally he nodded and offered me the chains. "Fly away, Psyche." I gave him a small nod in thanks as I took the reigns from him, I tried to shrug of the nickname.

What I didn't expect for him to do was lean back against me as soon as we started. He somehow managed to stay relaxed despite the weaving through the trees. Though it was now slower, even with the tight turns. He barely moved.

When I finally got a chance to look down at him, he was knocked out cold. I guess when you get the chance when you live this kind of life you take it. He looked so at peace while he slept. Almost like nothing has ever affected him or could.

For what felt like hours, I flew. The forest was seemingly empty. Not a single sign of life anywhere. The only thing that creeped me out was that there was still no noise from any animals. Not a single bird singing. No bug buzzing by. Nothing. It just felt wrong. Whatever is happening, it's giving me a sinking feeling in my stomach.

"Greenie, wake up." I shake him slightly as I watch our surroundings. Something was off. I know it.

Lloyd shot back up as soon as my hand touched his shoulder. He glanced at me and then the trees around us. With a sigh he looked back to me. "I fell asleep didn't I." I feel myself smile despite the uncomfortable feeling in my stomach.

"Yeah, but I think we are being followed." I whisper to him as we both look around. Trying to find whoever is out there.

"Are you su-." Before Lloyd could finish his question two guards came out on hover craft with blades attached to them. They also had daggers on them that I didn't see. I felt a sharp pain in my leg all the sudden. I looked down to see red starting to stain my already dark clothes.

Lloyd was the first out of the two of us to react. He took the chain from me and made the dragon nose drive towards the ground. He pulled up just in time and made the dragon disappear.
