"Urgh..." Y/N woke up on a cold stone floor, her vision swimming in colourful swirls. Someone was dabbing her forehead with a wet towel.

"Hey," a boy with spikey black hair said, placing the towel on the ground and helping her into a sitting position. Y/N immediately shot up, whipping out her two trusty sai and pointing them at him.

"Who are you? Where am I?" The boy raised his hands in a mock surrender.

"Woah, chillax! I'm Roby, and you're in the City of Temples." He grinned at her. Y/N put away her weapons and took a good look at her surroundings. Large traditional buildings perched around her, trees dotted here and there.

    "I see no temples."

"Oh, you'll see soon enough, and then you'll be amazed! But, uh, after the Merge, you took a pretty hard landing. Where'd you come from?" He took her by the arm and gave her a small tour of the city as she explained her story.

"The Cloud Kingdom? As in, the Cloud Kingdom? Oh man, I've only heard stories about it! Is it really floating super high up in the sky?" Roby fanboyed. Y/N scratched her head.

"Uh, yeah? I fell off it once." Roby's eyes widened.

"Woah. Then how're you still alive?" She smiled.

"Let's say I was saved by a Wind Elemental."

Over the course of the next few months, Y/N threw herself into training back into shape. Her stay at the Cloud Kingdom didn't offer that much training area, and the Monks were all about peace, so it felt good to release all of her pent-up Energy onto the city's training dummies.

Roby had only recently announced the next Tournament of the Sources, where he was finally the Games Master. Y/N received an invitation, so she needed to train extra hard to make a good impression.

Elemental Masters from around all of the Merged Lands were slowly trickling into the city, and Y/N found it hard to find areas where she could train with her unstable powers alone.

The wooden training dummy burst into puffs of green as she shot Energy onto it, but it still wasn't much compared to what she had seen the other Elemental Master of Energy do, and it had been years.

"You need more training on your precision levels and channeling," a gruff voice said behind her. Y/N turned around to see a tiger-man thing with his arms crossed, analyzing her stance with a frown on his furry face.

"If you know so much," Y/N scoffed, "Why don't you train me instead?" He smirked at her.

"Maybe I will. Meet me outside the Seven-Headed Dragon temple at sundown, Perennial," She gaped at him as he left the clearing. How did he know her past? She had long since turned away from that childish 'villain' name. But if it meant having a master and finally getting the training she required, she didn't mind being called an old nickname.

Y/N shrugged, sliding her gloves over her fingers and leaving in the direction of her living quarters.

Arriving at the temple, Y/N only had to wait a few minutes before the tiger-man from earlier showed up, a small group of people behind him.

"Ah, Perennial, so you came. I am Lord Ras, your new master. Come, meet your new allies." Heh, deja vu much.

"This is Cinder," A man with thick grey hair and deep shadows encompassing his eyes sent her an unimpressed look.
