"You've got to be kidding me, Christine." Gustave shouted.

"No, I'm not." Christine said, looking down.

"That guy is stalking you." Gustave said.

"Maybe it's just a coincidence."

"No, Christine. He is a grown man who just happens to be in every single place you are, and at the same time, too?" Gustave said.

"Well, what do you suggest we do, Dad, hm?" Christine asked.

"You will cease voice lessons with him and you will not speak to him." He said.

"Dad, that's not fair! I love my voice lessons. I've grown so much!" Christine yelled.

"I don't care. You will not even breathe the same air around that man, do you understand?" He asked.

"Oh my gosh, you're so unfair!" She screamed.

Christine stomped up the stairs and slammed her door. She threw some pillows around and then flopped on her bed.
I wish Mom were here right now, she would know what to do.

Gustave softly knocked on the door and Christine groaned.

"What?" She snapped.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

"Whatever."

Gustave walked in and leaned against the wall. He looked at Christine with a sad face.

"I'm sorry, mija. I hate when we argue, but I'm not changing my mind. I'll talk to the school and figure something out." He said.

Christine looked at him and nodded slightly. Gustave kissed her on the forehead and walked out of the room. Christine sighed,

"He's right. Erik isn't good for me." She said to herself.

Christine woke up late the next morning and she started to freak out as she put some random clothes on. She ran to the bathroom and multitasked brushing her hair, putting on perfume, brushing her teeth, and peeing. She ran downstairs, grabbed her backpack, but realized she was missing something. She ran back upstairs, got her phone, and rushed downstairs.

"What took you so long?" Gustave asked.

"I woke up late." She said, out of breath.

Gustave chuckled and reminded her of their conversation yesterday.

"I know, Dad. Love you." She said, running outside.

Erik paced his music room. Christine was late. His mind spiraled as he feared the worst. His phone buzzed and he whipped it out of his pocket.

"Hello?" He asked, frantically.

"Hey, I needed to fill you in." Antionette said.

Erik groaned, "Not now, Antionette. I'm waiting for Christine."

"About that, I wanted to call and say Gustave has pulled her out of voice lessons."

Erik's heart dropped.

"What?"

"Gustave didn't like how close you'd become with Christine. He thought it was odd. He doesn't want you speaking to her again. I'm sorry, Erik." She said, hanging up.

Erik tossed his phone on the couch and growled, running his fingers through his dark hair.

You want to keep me away from her? Two can play at that game, Gustave Daae. I will win.
