Three years later
Erik kissed Christine's temple as she put her earrings in.
"Pierre, get moving or we're going to miss grandpa's birthday." Christine called.
A little boy with brown curls and bright blue eyes ran down the stairs with a gift box in his hand. Nadir picked him up, holding him on his hip and laughing at something he said.
"I'll start the car, love." Erik kissed her, walking outside with Nadir and Pierre.
Christine sprayed her perfume when she caught a glimpse of her four rings. The first being her promise ring from Erik, the second her engagement ring, the third her wedding band, and the fourth her signet ring from William. She held the signet ring close to her heart, grabbed her bag, and walked outside with Ayesha in her hands.
