Christine woke up and rubbed the back of her neck. She realized she should probably change her clothes and shower but she didn't feel like it. She didn't want to use the things Erik had provided and she didn't want to be in this damn house. Someone entered the room and she quickly stood.
"Good morning, beautiful." James said.
Christine gave him a disgusted look. He placed a tray in front of her on a little table. It was tomato soup and grilled cheese. She looked at the tray and looked back up at him.
"Not hungry, hm?" He laughed.
Christine sat on the side of the bed and sighed.
"Things will get better, I'm here." James smiled his creepy smile.
"Yeah, cause you're so great." Christine said, rolling her eyes.
He laughed and exited the room just as Erik was coming in. Christine groaned and lay on the bed. Her hands rested on her stomach and she stared at the ceiling.
"I don't like that guy." She said.
"Yeah, me neither. Are you hungry?" Erik asked.
"No."
"What do you want to do today?"
"I don't care. I'll probably sit in here, bored out of my mind."
"We could do something."
Christine sat up and looked at him, shaking her head.
"What am I doing here? Sure, you love me or whatever but what are you hoping to get out of keeping me here?" She asked.
"Well, I hope to gain your love so we can be together." Erik said.
"Are you mental? Like actually, do you have an illness?" Christine asked aggressively.
"No, I am perfectly healthy." Erik said, nonchalantly.
"What day is it?" Christine asked.
"October 4th."
Christine lit up and she smiled.
"So like, there's fallen leaves outside and it's cold?" She asked."Yes, it came a few days ago up here since we're in the mountains."
"We're in the mountains?" Christine almost yelled.
"Yes." Erik said, slightly confused.
"Get out. I'm changing and we're going outside." She said, marching to the closet.
Erik chuckled and walked out of the room.
I knew she would brighten up.
Christine put on a brown sweater and some washed jeans along with light brown uggs. She combed her hair and put it in a messy bun. Curls fell and framed her face. She walked downstairs and found Erik in the den with Nadir and James. James grinned as he looked Christine up and down. She shot him a glare. Nadir didn't even look up from his book.
"Are you ready?" Erik asked.
Christine eagerly nodded and they walked to the door. Erik was wearing his suit and dress shoes, per usual. Christine breathed in the cool air and jumped down the stairs, into a pile of leaves. Erik laughed as Christine ran between trees. She stopped to catch her breath and she looked at Erik.
"Well, what are you standing around for? It's a beautiful day!" Christine said.
Erik shrugged his shoulders, "what should I do?"
"I don't know...something." She said.
Erik didn't move.
"You're boring." Christine said, putting her hands on her hips.

Fiksi PenggemarHi everyone! This is a story I started a few years ago and just recently finished. I'd like to give a few warnings for mature context and mentions of SA/suicide. I also am not in any way romanticizing kidnapping, just wanted to put that out there. H...
