Christine vomited again the next morning. She brushed her teeth and walked downstairs to greet Erik. Erik sighed and looked at Nadir. Nadir nodded.

"So, Nadir and I did some talking. This is completely up to you, only you can make the decision. Nadir said he'd performed at home abortions before. He's experienced and he has a 100% success rate. How do you feel about that?" Erik asked.

Christine stopped chewing on her toast. She swallowed and remained quiet for a moment.

"Sure. How does it work?" She asked.

"I would have you under anesthesia so you wouldn't feel anything. I would go in and remove the egg. You would wake up on your own time and it should be over with." Nadir said.

She shrugged. "Seems simple enough. When can we do it?"

"Whenever you want." Erik said.

"I'm ready when you are Nadir. I need this thing out of me."

Nadir wiped his mouth with a napkin and nodded.

"Let me gather my things. I'll be with you in a few minutes." Nadir said, walking out of the room.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Erik asked.

"Of course I am. I trust Nadir and I need this thing out of my body."

Nadir reentered the room with a bag of supplies and a hospital gown.

"Where exactly are we doing this?" Nadir asked.

"One of the bathrooms." Erik suggested.

"No, none of the bathrooms are big enough. What about the basement?" Nadir asked.

"No. She is not going down into the basement."

"Why? What's in the basement?" Christine asked.

"Noth-"

"Erik's torture chamber." Nadir interrupted.

"Damnit, Nadir." Erik growled.

Christine's jaw dropped. "You have a torture chamber?"

Erik didn't know what to do. He simply stood there, paralyzed.

"Can I see it?" She asked.

"Follow me." Nadir said, leading her to the basement.

Erik began to follow but Nadir stopped him.
"You are not coming down here."

"And why not? This is my house."

"I'm not the one who's in love with the patient. You are staying here." Nadir said calmly.

Nadir and Christine walked down into the basement. A chill grazed Christine's upper arms. She looked around the room. There was a table and a chair in the center of the room.

"This will have to suffice." Nadir muttered, dragging the chair around to the front of the table.

"I'll turn around while you put on the gown. You'll need to take off your underwear, too."

Nadir turned and began to set up his things as Christine took off her clothes. She put on the gown and held her clothes in her arms. "What should I do with these?" She asked.

"Throw them anywhere."

She did just that. She went and sat on the table in front of Nadir.

"Are you sure about this?" He asked.

"Yes, dammit. I need you guys to stop asking me that or I'll start second guessing my decision. Just get this thing out." She said.

"Very well. Count down from 100 and you should be under enough anesthesia for the procedure." Nadir said, putting a mask on her face.
