Severus stood by the side of Kat's bed, eyeing the already occupied space. Boo, the large black lab, was sprawled across the blankets, taking up a good portion of the bed.

Binx, the cat who barely tolerated his presence, lay curled up at the foot, glaring in Severus's direction. It didn't take much to realize he'd be far more comfortable in his own bed tonight.

"I think it's best if I sleep in my own bed," he said smoothly, trying to ignore Boo's snoring and the way Binx's eyes seemed to follow his every move.

Kat grinned, throwing him a mischievous look as she stretched out lazily. "Yeah, I mean, you could do that," she said with a teasing lilt, "but you'd wake up alone... without any available pussy in the bed."

Severus shook his head, fighting back a smirk, his dark eyes narrowing slightly in amusement. "Do you say everything that pops into your head?" he asked, his voice carrying that familiar dry edge.

Kat shrugged, sitting up and crossing her arms playfully. "It's an impulse control problem," she said with a grin, clearly enjoying his reaction.

Severus let out a soft exhale, trying to keep a straight face as he responded. "How about this," he began, his voice calm but laced with warmth. "You come to my cottage in the morning, and I'll make you breakfast."

Kat's eyebrow quirked up as she pretended to consider the offer, her arms still crossed. "Hmm... I'll have to check my schedule," she said, her tone mock-serious. "Honestly, this is last-minute notice. I'm a very busy woman."

Severus raised an eyebrow, his expression steady but tinged with amusement. "I would like you to be there at 8," he said smoothly, his voice as calm and commanding as ever. "Will that be a problem?"

Kat let out an exaggerated sigh, still playing along as she dramatically looked up at the ceiling. "I mean... I'll have to make it work, I suppose," she teased, her lips curling into a grin.

Severus's eyes glinted with dry humor, and he shook his head slightly. "A simple 'yes, sir' will do," he said, his tone both playful and firm.

Kat's grin widened, her eyebrow arching mischievously as she leaned in a little. "Yes, sir," she replied, her voice playful but with a hint of something more.

Severus smirked, clearly pleased with her response. "That's better," he said quietly, stepping back toward the door. "I'll see you in the morning, then."

Kat watched him, biting her lip to stifle a laugh as she waved him off. "Bright and early. I wouldn't miss it," she said, her eyes following him as he left the room.

The next morning, Kat stood in front of Severus's door, her long black hair cascading over her shoulders and her skin glowing against the soft fabric of her summer dress. She knocked lightly, and when Severus opened the door, there was a warmth in his usually reserved expression.

Kat immediately smiled, her eyes flicking down to his familiar black suit. "Okay," she said with a teasing grin, "are there multiple suits, or are we on day three of this one?"

Severus let out a rare chuckle, shaking his head slightly. "Yes, Kat, I have multiple suits," he replied, amusement flickering in his dark eyes.

Kat raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying this. "I was starting to think you loved that one suit too much to let it go," she said with a smirk. "I assume this is what you wear every single day, huh?"

Severus tilted his head slightly, his tone calm but amused. "I do have other things, but yes, I wear this most of the time. It's simpler."

Kat laughed, stepping inside. "I like it. Simplicity suits you. Me, on the other hand, I could never," she admitted, running her fingers through her hair. "It took me ten minutes just to decide on this dress, and I'm still not happy with it."
