Kat stood in front of the mirror, her hands trembling slightly as she fastened the delicate straps of her new outfit. The soft satin and lace of the playsuit she'd picked earlier felt both scandalous and empowering, its dark material hugging her curves in all the right places.

She stared at her reflection, trying to focus, but her mind was swirling with thoughts of the night ahead. The upcoming party, the tension with Lucius, and the storm brewing between her and Severus.

Her heart pounded in her chest, a mix of excitement and anger fueling her. She hadn't intended for the night to take this turn, but now that it had, she was committed. She was going to walk into that party with her head held high, and no one—not Lucius, not Severus—was going to tell her what to do. Not tonight.

A soft knock on the door pulled her from her thoughts. Without waiting for her response, Severus stepped inside, his presence filling the room with a heavy, unspoken tension. His dark eyes flickered over her form, taking in the sight of her standing there in the intimate outfit, but his gaze wasn't filled with lust. It was filled with something more complex—regret, frustration, and a hint of sadness.

"Kat," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. "We need to talk."

She didn't turn to face him, instead keeping her eyes locked on her reflection, trying to steady herself. "There's nothing to talk about, Severus," she replied coldly, her voice sharper than she intended. "We've already crossed that line."

Severus stepped closer, his footsteps soft against the floor as he approached her. "I didn't mean for it to escalate like this," he said, his voice laced with tension. "I didn't want this... whatever is about to happen. Not like this."

Kat finally turned to look at him, her eyes blazing with a mix of anger and pain. "Didn't you?" she shot back, her voice filled with accusation. "You kept telling me that I didn't know you. That I was rushing things. And now, I'm starting to think you were warning me—like this was always in your mind, and I just didn't see it."

Severus's face tightened, the weight of her words hitting him hard. He exhaled slowly, his dark eyes searching hers, as if he was trying to find the right words. "I wasn't warning you about this," he said carefully. "I never wanted you to feel like you were being pushed into something... something dangerous. But you're right. There are parts of me I've kept from you. Things I've done in the past. And now... now it's all coming out, and I'm sorry for that."

Kat's breath hitched, her hands gripping the edge of the vanity as she faced him fully. "You knew this was going to happen," she said, her voice trembling with frustration. "You knew that bringing me here, involving Lucius, would push us to this point. And you let it happen. You stood by while he tried to manipulate me, and now you're telling me it wasn't your intention?"

Severus's jaw clenched, his frustration evident as he took another step closer. "I didn't expect it to escalate this quickly," he said, his voice low and filled with tension. "But you need to understand something, Kat—I brought you here because I thought... I thought you wanted this. You've always pushed boundaries, always craved more. I thought this would give you the freedom you've been searching for."

Kat's heart twisted at his words, the complexity of the situation swirling in her mind. She had wanted to explore, to push the limits of what they shared, but not like this. Not in a way that made her feel like she was losing control.

"Freedom?" she repeated, her voice incredulous. "You think this is freedom? Being dragged into some twisted game between you and Lucius? I thought I was coming here to explore, to have fun, not to be manipulated into some power dynamic that I never agreed to."

Severus's expression tightened, guilt flickering across his face as Kat's words hit him hard. He took a deep breath, stepping closer but keeping a respectful distance, his voice low and filled with regret. "Kat, I'm sorry," he said softly, his gaze dropping to the floor for a moment before meeting her eyes again. "I didn't want it to get this far. We can leave right now. Go home and forget all of this. It's already too much. I don't want you sleeping with other people. I never really did."
