Penelope

I run through the Mantra forest, being fucking chased by sinners disgusting monsters who feed on human souls, I was supposed too exorcist them from this area of the forest, but no—no one fucking told me that there was more than 10 sinners. That goddam Cassandra gave me the wrong information.

I keep running into the forest moving the branches out of my way, god—how I wish a crimson moon would be up right now I would've slaughtered all of these in one fell swoop...maybe half the forest too, but who cares! It will grow back, I think..
I keep running through the Mantra forest and I soon reach a cliff, and I notice miwara waterfalls.
If I jump, I'll out run them and reach camp immediately.

I turn my head as I hear the rustling and monstrous sounds of the sinners in the forest. I look down and stare at the water before I jump.
I'm falling down, I'm definitely going to die. I close my eyes shut before I land the water, but instead I land In someone's arms. I open my eyes and see...Blake?

He's frowning at me like I've just committed a crime. He's also standing on the water, typical since he's a hydro kinesis. Blake then carries me back towards the shore where other soldiers are taking a break. My cheeks flush in embarrassment and I immediately avert my gaze from everyone.
Finally he slowly puts me down and pinches the bridge of his nose as he looks down with a sigh.

"Penelope, how many times have I told you not to be reckless?"

"Too many to count.." I practically mumble out.

Kaede comes to my rescue by wrapping an arm around his shoulder, and Blake glares at him immediately as he tilts down because of the sudden weight on his shoulders.
"Come on, Blake, don't be so hard on your girlfriend. She did what she had to do!"

Blake nudges him off.
"Fuck off, Kaede. I'm only looking out for her."

...

We soon arrive back at district eighth camp, and I walk inside my tent. Taking off my leather gloves and snapping off my blade from my belt placing everything on the table and I soon feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I turn towards Blake and I wrap my arms around his neck. Staring into his eyes.

"You were way too reckless, Pen.."
He looks down hesitantly before his eyes lock with mine again.
"What would you have done if you got injured hitting the water at such speed?"

I sigh.
"I know, I'm sorry. I'll be more careful next time."

He pecks my forehead and presses his forehead against mine.
"Why were you even running in the first place?"

"Cause Cassandra didn't inform me that there was going to be more than 10 monsters there. I had no back up."
I say with an annoyed scoff.

He tilts his head back and groans in annoyance.
"Goddammit, why can't people do their jobs?"
He stares at me and whispers.
"You didn't get scratched by them or anything..?"

I shake my head.
"I'm perfectly fine, Blake."

He nods in understanding.
"I know. I just...worry."

I reach and caress his cheeks gently with a smile.
"Nothing is going to happen, we are okay."

He sighs in relief as he leans into my touch, and gently pecks my palm. Before he gently slides his hands up my back and pulls me into a hug, burying his face against my shoulder. I gently caress his dark blue locks.
"Are you staying here tonight..? Don't you need to head back to headquarters?"

He shakes his head and pulls me closer as he mumbles against my neck, my cheeks flush at the warmth of his breath.
"I'm the commander of Sylvan. I can do whatever I want..." He whispers.

This idiot...
