I rush towards them as I wave with a bright smile and I throw my arms around Gabby to hug her tightly. She hugs me back as she almost stumbles over but I pull her towards me too steady her and we let go of each other after a moment.
"I've missed you so much, we need to have a girl weekend soon—like, oh my god, I have so much too tell you." I start rambling excited and Gabriella laughs slightly before we hold our hands together as we stand in front of each other.
"We definitely should." She replies
Blake soon comes behind me quietly and notices Richard.
"I didn't know you got more back up?" He says nonchalant.
Gabby follows his gaze towards Rich and nods as she turns towards us again.
"Better safe than sorry."
Blake sighs as he crosses his arms.
"Alright, but if he dies that's on you. He doesn't even have an Evol."
Richard scoffs at that and they stare down at each other in silence, it's deafening. Gabby stares between them confused and I soon clear my throat to break the silence before I turn towards them.
"Should we continue looking..?"
Everyone nods in agreement and we continue looking through the big forest. The guys walk behind me and Gabby as we talk about what has happened these few days. I tell her how I jumped down a waterfall and she tells me about her latest mission about an illegal weapon her and Richard stole.
My eyes practically lights up as she explains how it looks like.
"That's so cool!"
She nods in agreement.
"I know, I heard that it can shoot lightning but Rich wouldn't let me try it.."
I sigh at that, of course he wouldn't let you try it Gabby—he doesn't want to risk you getting hurt.
Me and her continue talking about the most random things as we also try to avoid fighting any sinners in the forest.
I lean and whisper in her ear.
"Look at the guys—they seem to be bonding at last.
She turns her gaze to the guy's walking behind us and back at me with a cheeky smile, we both giggle which catches Richard and Blake's attention.
"What are you two laughing about?" Rich asks as he raises an eyebrow in suspicion.
We shrug as we continue laughing quietly and then gabby waves a hand dismissively.
"Nothing, nothing!"
