Serkan lit the candles that he carefully placed on the table and sat, looking at the clock. It was a little past eight. He wasn't sure if she would come. To be honest, he was more leaning on her not coming. But he had still tried his best, returned from work early, bought her favourite scented candles, cookd for her, adding more butter and spices than he was used to but knowing how she liked to season her food.
Serkan had at first, never thought he could change for anybody, and he thought of changing oneself to please your other half even a bit toxic of an idea. But with Eda, all this was so effortless, she made his life better, and he found himself to change and lean on her tastes and standards more just so natural, sometimes out of care and love, sometimes out of pure thrill.
Love was the name of giving, and he always wanted to be a good lover to her, because she deserved the world, but he ended up hurting her so much. On countless times. He understood her doubts, he only hoped their relationship was still salvagable, if only she gave them a chance, he would never hurt her again, he had learnt his lessons.
He spend over twenty minutes waiting, when the intercom rang and he saw Eda with Sirius from the tiny pixelised camera. He felt his heart beat fast, feeling as if they had just gotten together and this was their first date.
He pressed the key and waited for her at the door as she climbed the stairs up to the loft. "You came." He smiled softly.
Eda returend his soft smile. "Someone wanted to see you." She told, handing him Sirius' leash.
Serkan smiled and let her in, helping her remove her leather coat, and he breathed, he didn't knew what message to take from her hot and colds, but that black dress that fitted her body so perfectly, revealing her long tanned legs and an elegant yet revealing cleavage made him swallow.

That wouldn't be how she would dress if she came to tell him off, would she ?
"Gel, dinner is ready, it's right off the stove but I can reheat if you want." He offered.
"It's steaming." Eda noted. "There's no need." She took a seat and gave him a radiant smile and Serkan felt a little more confidence.
He served her and as a change, she had appetite today, not as she used to have when their relationship started, but she did eat a little of everything, even if to please him and respect his efforts.
"Here." Serkan offered her a glass of rosé and Eda swallowed.
"I'm trying to cut on the alcool." She politely refused, realising everyone would start to notice her medical situation as she would restrict her diet more and more.
"Neden ?" Serkan asked with concern.
"Just...when you were gone, I was scared to fall into addictive patterns, so I'd rather not." Eda half lied, she had never drowned her grief, but she had thought of it, when her heart hurt too much from his absence, she had thought of much more drastic measures too.
