L I Z Z Y

Dad and Beth's wedding is next week and Beth chose me to be a bridesmaid along with Lilia and Fae. I usually hate wearing dresses, but I can't wait to see my bridesmaid dress. It had been delivered to Beth's house yesterday. Dad had to go to work today and so Lilia, Fae and I are left to walk to Beth's house.

.  .  .

Lilia rang the doorbell and one of the twins opened it. My bet was that this twin was Kyle considering the fact that he smiled once he saw us. Well, saw me anyway. I actually think that there's some weird thing going on between my sister and him since it's so obvious that he tries to avoid her yet he's totally fine with me. Anyways this twin was definitely not Noah since Noah cannot smile (at all) from what I see; the most he can do is smirk.

"Hello Kyle," I greeted.

He beamed at me, causing his hazel eyes to sparkle, "so you can tell the difference between me and Noah?"

"What kind of soon-to-be step-sister would I be if I couldn't?"

"A really crap one?"

I grinned at his answer. "So is your brother home?"

Kyle grinned at me, "Which of your soon-to-be brothers are you referring to?"

I scowled, "he won't ever be a brother to me."

Kyle laughed, "Sammy is at a friend's house, but Noah's here."

"Are you going to let us in?" Lilia interrupted.

It was as if Kyle had just noticed her. Something passed through his hazel eyes but before I could figure it out; he blinked and then grinned at her, yet anyone could tell that the grin he now had plastered on his face was fake, "Sure".

Once we were in, Lilia, Fae and I made our way to the kitchen. We've been in this house tons of times and thus we knew our way around.

Okay, I exaggerated, we've only been here twice before.

Beth was cooking and once she saw us she placed her wooden spoon down on the counter and threw her arms around us. "What's the occasion?" She teased.

I smiled, "we wanted to see our bridesmaid's dress."

Beth nodded her head, washed her hands and walked out. Within a minute Beth came back holding three bags. She handed one to each of us. "Here are your dresses. Go try it on." She said eagerly.

I decided to change my clothes in the upstairs bathroom where there would be no chance of anyone walking in on me changing. To get to the bathroom I had to walk pass the bedrooms.

Curiosity took hold of me as I heard Noah's voice talking to someone. I knew it was Noah since Kyle was downstairs. I stood outside what I assumed was his door, to listen.

"You don't get it, do you?" Noah asked.

I realised that the person that Noah was talking to was on the other end of the phone. I couldn't hear their response.

"But that's just it. It's not going to be a happily ever after, is it? It never is, not in this family." Noah said.

Noah paused for a second, while I bet the other person was talking, then he started speaking again, " Sammy, Kyle and I are already in danger. I won't let Luke's girls go through it as well."

"What are you doing?" I jumped a bit. I turned to look at the person who just caught me eavesdropping. He was leaning on the wall with his arms folded.

"Nothing," I said quickly.
