Katy woke up, she saw juice beside her, at least he had gotten home at some point, she was asleep by the time he had gotten in. She had no clue what had happened last night, she wanted to go for a run but Juice had definitely said there had been a shooting. She would wait for more information before she left the house. She dressed in her running gear so she would be ready to go once she had all the information, she was sure it would have been dealt with. Charming is, well, charming, nothing bad ever happens and when it does, people get punished.

The coffee was on, she started painting one of the testers onto the wall while it brewed.

Juice woke with a start, last night all came flooding back. Donna, dead. He needed to tell Katy, to get her to understand, it wasn't safe here anymore. Not just now at least. He looked at her side of the bed and saw it empty, his heart dropped, what if she had gone out? She could be in danger, he told Chibs he wouldn't let her out of his sight. Panic gripped him suddenly, he jumped from the bed, raced from the room down stairs, not bothering to dress, he found her in the living room surrounded by pots of paint, 5 different coloured squares already on the wall in front of her. He relaxed for a second. She was here, she was safe. But then he noticed her clothes, had she been out for a run already?

She turned when she heard him enter the room, she smiled at the sight of him, naked as the day he was born, staring at her with a strange look in his eye. One she couldn't quite place, was it anger? Fear? She didn't know, but she was going to find out. "What's wrong? You don't look like you ran naked from the bedroom to whisk me back up there with you?" She hoped he would be honest with her about what was happening.
"I woke up and you weren't in bed and I panicked" he confessed. I was scared you had left, I need to tell you what's going on, you need to be careful."
"Juice you are scaring me, what's happened?" She put down the paint brush and put the lid back on the little can. "But put some clothes on before you tell me or I might not hear anything you say," she pointed to his nudity, he looked down, suddenly aware of how ridiculous this must seem to her at the moment. "Fine, I'll get pants, you pour coffee, do not leave the house," Katy was taken back. He didn't often give orders like that. This must be serious, she watched him make his way up the stairs as she went through to the large kitchen, she picked 2 mugs out of the cupboard and poured them both a coffee. She was sitting at the table waiting for him when he came back down. His face still a mask of anger and fear, and something else.
"Donna was shot. It looked like a hit. We're guessing it was meant for Opie. But it happened right here, in Charming," he waited, watching her eyes widen as fear and understanding spread across her face.
"But, what, when? How? She left the party not long before I did..." Her voice trailed off, unsure of what she wanted to say next. "Looks like niners, but we can't be sure yet. I've got to go to the clubhouse. Sort some business out. I want you to come with me. Bring your laptop if you want to work" he hoped she wouldn't put up a fight, he had been honest with her about what was happening, that was the most be could do, but if she didn't want to go to the clubhouse, he couldn't exactly force her to.
"How long?" She asked, already mentally packing her things for a sleepover at the clubhouse.
"How long what?" He asked, confused by her question, "how long will we be staying at the clubhouse? I need to know what to bring" her reply was very matter of fact, it caught Juice by surprise. "I honestly don't know, might just be a few hours, might be a few days, I'll know more after Chapel."
"Okay, I'll grab a few overnight things just incase, but you always told me how safe this house was, what makes you think I'll be any safer at the club than I would here?" She hoped he would finally tell her why he deemed this place so safe. She didn't buy the 'it's in a good neighbourhood' line.
"Look, I got security cameras covering every inch of the outside of this place. I can see who comes and who goes. That's why you are safe here, anyone tried to break in, I would know about it. That being said I also have security cameras everywhere at the club, and I will be there, and your dad, and the rest of the club. You will be safer there with us than here without us. And in the interest of full disclosure, after it all went down last night your dad told me not to let you out of my sight. And I plan to honour that. You need so much as to go to the bathroom and I'll be there, I can't risk anything happening to you."
Katy thought about what he had said, cameras. That did make her feel more secure about the house, but he was right, she was safest wherever he was, so she would go to the club.
