Juiced

Season 2: Episode 5

The day of the engagement party finally rolled around. Katy was nervous, Gemma had planned the whole thing, reluctantly agreeing to invite Amelia, even though she didn't like the girl. She was Katy's friend and this night was about Katy and Juice, not Gemma.

Katy and Amelia had gone shopping again, Katy wanted a new dress for the party and Amelia was always up for shopping. It was hard to find something she liked, she wanted something that would show off her new tattoo but that was respectable as well. They searched every store in Lodi before Katy found what she was after, it was a black dress, with gold embroidery, longer at the back than it was at the front, it would display the crow while allowing Katy at least a sliver of modesty.

Katy and Amelia got ready at Katy and Juices house, he was drinking in the kitchen with Chibs while the women took over the upstairs of the house.
Katy had curled her hair in a half up, half down style and let Amelia do her makeup again.
She walked carefully down the stairs in the stupid heels Amelia had talked her into, when Juice saw her his mouth dropped causing Chibs to turn and look at the stairs as well.
"Christ on a bike lass, look at you" Chibs could hardly believe this was the same little girl that he left in Scotland.
Juice walked over to her, got down on one knee in front of her and said "if you hadn't already agreed to marry me I'd be asking you right now," she laughed at him and his heart swelled, she took his hand and bid him to get up, in her heels she was able to kiss him without him having to lean so far. And so she did, passionately, until her dad coughed a loud fake cough to remind them both he was there.
They broke apart and stared into each other's eyes, both of them smiling from ear to ear.
Chibs wolf whistled and Katy and Juice turned to see Amelia coming down the stairs, she looked unbelievable as always. Amelia was wearing a red body con dress and killer heels to match, she had let Katy know that she had her sights set on Tig tonight, and was planning to be sober enough to follow through this time.

Katy and Amelia got into Amelia's car, Juice and Chibs followed on their bikes.

The party was a wild one, everyone was having a great time, Katy and Juice had been congratulated by so many people it was a blur or faces. After they had thanked everyone for coming and accepted the congratulations they were able to circulate around the room, Katy never let go of Juices arm though, she knew she should be happy, this whole shindig was for them. But she couldn't quite shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen.

She didn't have to wait too long to be proved correct.

Ima walked in the door a little before midnight, making a beeline straight for Jax, whatever he said to her wasn't to her liking though, she turned away from him with a face like sour milk. She spotted Juice and Katy and walked over to them. Juice spotted her coming before Katy did. He stood up, anticipating an argument, Katy turned to see what was happening and saw Ima. She stood up to join Juice, slipping her hand into his, partly to show that he was spoken for, partly so she wouldn't punch Ima.

"I just came to say congratulations," Ima said, "I don't want to start nothing, I want peace," Ima looked from Juice to Katy, waiting for a response. Juice started to open his mouth, but Katy beat him to it. "Mighty gracious of you Ima, thanks, you are welcome to stay and have a drink, Let bygones be bygones and all that." Katy smirked at Ima as she said it. Still not trusting the pornstar, but it was her engagement party and she didn't want to cause a scene.
Juice looked at Katy and smiled, another example of how perfect she was. If some guy had tried to move on her then showed up tonight, he would have laid him out. No questions asked. But here she was, inviting the other woman to stay for a drink. Ima smiled, her body language instantly relaxed as she headed off to find that drink.

Katy watched her walk away as Juice sat back down, he pulled Katy onto his lap and told her how much he admired her. He admitted he didn't think he could have been so gracious. "She's had her warning, she so much as looks at you the wrong way again  and I'll fucking kill her," Katy said, but she was smiling, Juice pulled her face towards him and kissed her.
