Katy was once again sitting in the chair at her father's bedside. Fiona had left, promising she would be back the next day. Katy wondered how things were going for the guys, the last message Juice had been able to send her let her know they were on their way out for justice. She hoped they got it.

She has just started to doze off when her phone rang. It was a number she didn't recognise, back in Scotland she would have let it go to voicemail, but here, it could be important. Juice had memorised her number so even if he lost his phone he could contact her. She thought it might be him. She was right.

"Baby I'm so sorry, we got picked up, were in county and I don't know how long for."

Katy was stunned, she knew what they were doing was dangerous, she knew members of the club got locked up from time to time. She hadn't expected it to happen to Juice though. "What can I do?" She asked, sounded stronger than she felt. "Speak to Gemma, she'll get the lawyer on it. Don't worry about me. How is Chibs?" He didn't really want Katy to know they were in county lock up. He knew she would worry but she would worry more if she didn't hear from him.
"Stable but still critical, they are waiting to see if the bleed stops or if they need to operate," she didn't bother telling him her fears about the Irish being here, he had enough to worry about as it was.
"Okay, and how are you? I'm so sorry for dragging you into all this," he paused, unsure how to continue, he didn't have to though because Katy said "I've told you before, you haven't dragged me into anything. I'm sat here beside my dad. I'm part of this with or without you. I'm just glad I have you," Katy found herself playing with her engagement ring as she spoke to him. Wishing he hadn't gone along with the rest of them tonight.
Juice smiled despite himself, "I know baby, I'm glad I have you too, and I'll be back to you real soon, they can't make this shit stick."
Katy smiled at the thought of him being released, but it faltered when she remembered what had happened to Otto. "Juice are you safe in there?" Juice laughed in response. "Safe as houses baby, don't worry about me. There's 6 of us together in here remember, and we can make friends if we need to."
That did settle her mind slightly, Otto had been alone in Stockton, Juice had his brothers with him. "Just please, be careful," she begged, Juice smiled but then Katy heard a distant voice telling him "times up Ortiz."

"Baby I gotta go, you were my one phone call, I love you."

"I love you too," she choked before hanging up and letting the tears run down her face.

What a week. Her dad, in a hospital bed, yet to regain consciousness. Her fiance, in prison, how would she cope if anything happened to either of them? She curled up in the chair and pulled a blanket over herself. She would be lucky if she got any sleep tonight.

The Sons all gathered in the prison yard, Jax told them how Zobelle had all the white power guys in hand. "Us white boys are on our own."

Clay had met with the club lawyer that morning, he shared what he knew, "Rosen thinks the case is being tied up, be a while before it sees a court room."

Happy was the one to speak up at that news, "Without a colour crew we ain't gonna make it to trial," Juice knew he was right. He told Katy that the six of them would be fine together but that had been a lie. They needed protection if they wanted to survive long enough to even see the trial.

Clay and Bobby shared a few words, Juice looked around, taking in his surroundings. He wasn't exactly white himself. He wondered if there was a group of Puerto Ricans that they could latch onto, he could be the connection. But then Clay said "I'm working on getting us some friends," his eyes firmly on the black crew.

Katy stretched as she got up from the chair. Wondering when she would next hear from Juice, she doubted he would be able to call her again. The doctors and nurses had started their daily comings and going, Katy excused herself and went in search of coffee. Fiona had arrived again by the time she returned. The two women exchanged pleasantries and Katy decided to head out. Her dad wasn't alone, she could go and see Gemma, find out what the fuck was going on with the guys.
