Peter arrived at the Ordo Clara Convent, his excitement palpable as he anticipated reuniting with Alice and confirming the identity of "Mohn's daughter." The serene environment of the convent contrasted sharply with his turbulent thoughts. The nuns greeted him and his party with the hospitality expected for such esteemed visitors, offering them rest and refreshment.

Peter's heart raced as he was introduced to the young woman who was supposedly "Mohn's daughter." To his surprise, she bore no resemblance to him, contrary to what he had been led to believe from Edward's testimony and previous reports. She appeared to be a simple, modest girl, not the refined lady he had expected. Peter's confusion grew as he tried to reconcile the information he had received.

He approached the girl, his tone a mixture of curiosity and frustration. "Where is your mother? I was told she would be here."

The girl looked down, her voice trembling slightly. "Lady Alice... she has returned to the estate. She said she needed to attend to urgent matters."

Peter's confusion deepened. She said "Lady"? She returned to the estate without her daughter? Why would she do that?"

The girl offered no further explanation, leaving Peter to ponder the incongruity of the situation. His mind raced with questions, but there were no clear answers in sight.

Albert of Mohn sat in his study, the room dimly lit by the flickering glow of a fireplace. His brow furrowed as he read the latest report from the convent. The news was troubling—Peter's party was at the Ordo Clara Convent, and the supposed Isabel had decided to be a nun, a behavior completely out of character for the young girl he knew. Albert's frustration was palpable; he knew he needed to act swiftly.

He summoned one of his most trusted envoys, Sir Lucien, a man known for his sharp intellect and discretion.

"Sir Lucien," Albert said, handing over a sealed letter, "I need you to go to the Ordo Clara Convent immediately. Find out what's happening there. This situation with Peter and the girl doesn't add up."

Sir Lucien took the letter and nodded. "I'll leave at once, my lord."

The envoy rode swiftly to the convent, arriving as the sun began to set. The Ordo Clara Convent was a serene and imposing structure, its tall spires and ancient walls bathed in the golden light of dusk. Sir Lucien was greeted by the abbess and several nuns.

"Good day," Sir Lucien said. "I've been sent by Lord Albert of Mohn. There are troubling reports that Lady Isabel, who was supposed to return to the estate, has refused to leave the convent. We also need to understand why and where Mistress Alice is."

The abbess looked concerned but remained composed. "I understand. Lady Isabel has indeed refused to leave. She has expressed a desire to dedicate her life to the convent."

Sir Lucien frowned. "That's quite surprising. Isabel has always been known for her family ties and responsibilities. Is there any way to speak with her directly?"
