Well...
This conversation was about to suck.
"You said you wanted to chat?" Collin asked, taking a seat in the chair Don was once in tonight.
"Yeah... well..." I started, attempting and failing miserably on how to even begin to put this. Like I mean, there was no words to-
"Don and you are fucking?" Collin offered, forcing me to damn near choke on my own fucking spit.
"W-We are not-"
"But you want to."
I found myself slowly yet eventually nodding. Well that went a hell of a lot quicker than I imagined.
"Kissing the hand was a little much."
"... You're right," I nodded to him. "I shouldn't have drawn attention like that, especially after he brought you flowers."
Collin nodded, yet his next words surprised me. "I liked Don's apology a lot better."
I couldn't help but chuckle at that. "That's fair." I nodded to him. "I'm sorry I got you all caught up in this."
"To be fair," he offered, pausing to take a sip of the water he brought with him, "you could cut the sexual tension with a knife, even while he was flirting with me. I should've been more honest with myself."
"No," I countered, "I should've been more honest with you."
"You should've probably been more honest with yourself first. Then none of us would be here."
"Touché," I nodded, agreeing. "In a slight defense on my part, this was a rapid development that has truly brought on a ridiculous amount of problems. Like an unreal amount in just a short time."
"Sounds like you're having fun." Collin chuckled, smiling my way, and forcing a smile of my own. "Anyways, I know not to compete with The Great Don Whittaker, trust and believe. I now know entirely too much to compete with the man in anything, but seeing how you two look at each other, there's no fucking way in hell I'm about to put that much effort. You are one amazing guy Carson, but one insane boyfriend. You and Don are an oddly fair match."
I slowly nodded again, still deciferring whether or not that was a compliment. At this point it was best to let him get his digs in. This apology wasn't coming with 1.3k.
"Thank you again for being so considerate. And I am so sorry again."
"Take apology tips from Don," Collin spoke as he stood to his feet, picking up his glass of water. "Next time show me the hard cash first." Then he cracked me a grin which I couldn't help but return.
