"Gonna see what we can find today..."
If you thought I could ever reference something so niche before... I dub thee the title reference: Milo and Otis, a movie that I don't even know how happened, but it most surely does happen to you once watching it... highly recommend, it's basically my Homeward Bound (IYKYK) but imo better?
I know I just put a target on my back with the hold heads, but I'm willing to fight for this one lol
Enjoy, lovelies!
(And I have a longer rant at the end)Also highly unedited, just throwing this one into the abyss atp

There was nothing I was more grateful for, than the fact that my mum insisted I go the hell to bed at a timely manner.
I had killed the fire shortly after joining Don, with a canister of water, before escorting him all the way to his room... but I was forced to keep my goodbye brief because my gramps was still wandering around the home, moving from his and my grandmothers room down to the kitchen and back in an effort to prepare some things for my grandmother to alleviate some of the stresses throughout the remainder of the holiday week.
Don had told me she retired early for the night after Dylan, and I was positive it was probably from all the work she had done to prepare for the holiday. Nan always had the tendency to overdo it, but I appreciated how my grandfather showed his love for her. He himself was getting up there in age, and he was still doing a lot of the upkeep on the ranch, but he always tried to help around the home too so the burden wouldn't fall on my grandmother's shoulders entirely.
Don had also mentioned that Sara retired early to help my gramps, Em, and Jimmy in the morning, since I had spent most of this evening fixing things and giving my baby a good Ol' tune up. I wanted her running smoothly for Don, Dylan, and myself. This had only further explained how he and I had then found ourselves alone that late at night.
I was smart enough to set about twenty alarms this morning, but I managed to wake before the first one rang at around five out of sheer excitement alone.
There were four bedrooms upstairs, one for my gramps and nan, then my mum's old room that she stayed in with Sara. Next it was my old room where Dylan was now, and a guest room where Don was staying currently. There were two additional rooms downstairs, one of which I was assigned to near the kitchen that I'm sure my gramps was responsible for selecting to keep Dylan and Don closer together upstairs... and to definitely leave a safe distance between that handsome man and I.
I first got ready in my room, choosing to wear another pair of jeans, a thin cotton shirt, and another light hoodie just in case it got a bit chilly. I also packed a towel since I wanted to take a dip in the water with Don, and while I was usually fine just air dying, I didn't want him to get cold, or catch a cold or anything. Because we were swimming, I also strapped on my waterproof watch that would send any text or phone call alerts to it.
