Pond's pov:

Usually, around this time, I'd be looking for a hook up for Valentine's Day, but this year is different.
Im currently on my way to the mall to buy a gift for a special someone.
I park my car and make my way to the center of the mall. Looking around aimlessly. No thoughts in my mind. No ideas. I look to my right and then to my left. I look what's behind me and what's in front of me.
Nothing.
I take my phone and call someone who probably will have some ideas, the romantic person he is.
After 5 rings, he finally picks up.
"Took you long enough." I say.
"Sorry, I just got out of the shower. Where's the hurry?" Niran says.
"I need help in buying a gift for someone.."
"Mm, Phuwin!" Niran says with no hesitation.
"Huh! How did you know?!"
"Pond, Pond, Pond and Pond.. im not dumb. Me and Phuwin practically grew up together. I know damn well what's happening." He says, smiling, obviously proud of himself.
I stay silent.
"Since when?"
"Every since you guys hooked up at Prija's party."
I'm in shock.
"So Pond, my dear friend. How can i assist you today?"
"I need a gift."
"For Phuwin?"
"Yes, something that he'll like.."
"Wellll.. if it's just a friendly gift, buy him like a guitar or something, but oh, pond if it's for Valentine's Day.. then how about jewelry or something special. Something you have never given to someone else."
"Niran, you are so smart!"
"Well, thank you! Now come to my place tonight, there's like a party or movie night happening with the football team."
"Mm.. sure!"
"Thank youuuu, now be a good friend and ask Joong too. He hasn't answered my texts."
"Yeah, yeah. We'll be there! Thanks."
I hang up.

Something special that I've never given to anyone else or something customized for him.
Well, i already gave him a perfume for Christmas.
Mm.. maybe a necklace or a bracelet. Yeah.. i like that idea.
I take an elevator to the 6th floor of the mall and enter a jewelry store.
"Hello, sir! How can i assist you today?" The young woman asked with a smile on her face.
"A Valentine's Day gift."
"Of course! Anything specific: rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and so on?"
"Mm.. i was thinking of a necklace!"
"Wonderful! These are our latest models!"
I look at them with my full dedication.
"Is there any way to customize a necklace?"
"Of course! Would you like it to have some gems on it or maybe a name or initial?"
"2 initials"
"Of course, follow me, and we'll get you settled with the payment." I follow the nice lady to the counter and fill out a few forms.
"Now, what would the initials be?"
"PP"
"Ooo, so cute! Your girlfriend or boyfriend must be soooo excited!"
I chuckle at that.
"Uhm.. well, not my boyfriend yet." I say nervously.
"Don't worry. He's a very lucky man! Of course, he will say yes!"
"Let's pray.." i say quietly as i smile to myself.

I leave the store with a huge smile on my face. What left my face in seconds. I can see May in the corner of my eye. On her phone sitting by the fountain on a bench. I pray she doesn't see me, but my luck must've run out.
When she spotted me, she literally jumped off the bench and ran towards me to hug me very tightly.
"Oh my god, Pond! So good to see you again! You look handsome as always."
"Oh! Hey May.. how have you been?" I ask very obviously uncomfortable about her presence.
"My day just got a lot better seeing you," she says, sliding her hand around my arm.
"Hey, so im kinda bu-" i got interrupted by May jumping into my arms again, giving yet a nother hug.
"Come on! Let's go sit down, have a drink. Let's catch up. It's been what? A little over a month since we last saw each other?" Before i could respond, she had dragged me into some cafe. I sighed and went along with it.

We sat down at a table and placed our order. Soon enough, our green tea and black coffee make their way to our table in the middle of the cafe.
May takes a huge sip from her hot tea and looks at me with a huge smile.
"Sooo! What have you been up to?"
"Mm.. nothing much, school, went to visit my parents for Christmas and New years. What about you?" I ask, trying to be polite.
"Actually, pretty much same! So what brings you to the mall?" I awkwardly chuckle at that.
"Well, i was buying a Valentine's Day gift.." i say pretty quietly.
I can see the smile slightly fade.
"Oh! Who's the special girl?" She asks, obviously hurt.
"You actually have met him already, Phuwin."
"Phuwin.." She's not happy, not at all.
"So you and Phuwin have gotten pretty close?"
"Yeah, you could say that. I have some big plans for Valentine's Day."
She chuckles and slightly shakes her head.
"What is it?" I ask, giving her a small polite smile.
"No, it's just - i never expected you and Phuwin to work out. You know.. the player type you are. No offense."
"None taken, but for your information, I'm no longer a player. I've stopped all that."
"Good for you.." She looks around in awkwardness and then finally says something to break the silence.
She puts her hand on top of mine and rubes it slowly. She looks at me with soft eyes.
"If.. you and him don't happen to work out. You always have me who to turn to. You know that, right? I'll always be there." I get angry at that.
"What are you implying?"
"It's just you two are completely different people, and it's just a phase Pond. Once you realize that the two of you don't work, you'll come back to the playing style. And i want you to know that I'll care for you no matter who you are." She says, still rubbing my hand. I quickly remove my hand and stand up. I leave 340 baht on the table (10$) and look May in the eyes.
"If you believe that, then i don't want you near me or Phuwin. I think it's for the best if you leave us alone from now on." I say leaving.
May is in shock.

Uhm....... sooooooo. How are y'all? 😓😓 IM SORRRYYY, OKAYYYY. I've been soooooo busy, and before i even knew it, it's been 3 months since i last updated. Life update: I've had now over 15 exams (im so fucking tired) and i have more coming hahaha (laughing through my pain), my volleyball team is getting better + i had a competition  (we lost) 😞😞 but its okayyyyy, MY BIRTHDAY IS ON TUESDAY!!! I CAN'T WAITTTT 💕💕💕
And finally, i want to thank every single one of you. You all supported and encouraged me for the past 3 months, and i can't even say how thankful i am. Also 32.4k views what the fuck???? THANK YOUU SO MUCHHH!! I LOVE Y'ALL WITH MY WHOLE HEART! 💕💕

I'll now probably disappear for a nother 3 months (see yall in February) 😝😝
