"Do animals have a moral code?"
I think some do that's more in line with what we think, but in general all animals have specific values that involve survival. A lot of what we see as moral codes help us survive together as social creatures. It's a similar function, although ours looks less utilitarian than many animals. I wish I could give a specific example, but this isn't really something I researched, even though I like biology. The only thing I can think of is just generally social creatures making sure each other stays alive, like wolves taking care of their injured pack members.
