Thinking on when I used to say I loved improving myself: I'm not so good at improving or moving toward a goal for myself, especially back when I was 13 years old. I mention it in the SELF entry, but I've learned with time that I'm de-motivated easily; I think in combination of my AuADHD, perfectionism, and high expectations.

I've just always been good at learning new things. Learning & improving DO often go hand-in-hand and naturally wanting to find more knowledge on something, especially related to political beliefs in order to be a better person & help your cause more, could definitely look like a desire to always improve.

Plus, I often confused changing myself for others with improvement, but these improvements were generally small-scale and my mindset did not change from them. I tried to be less blunt, for example, even when I received advice from Hiraeth that blunt people usually know when to use it and that I should try to think more about my own morals; I should sort things into harmful, harmless, and beneficial for myself.
