They exited the temple through the large gate, standing next to the fountain they drank of when they arrived here.

Nerivie was silent.

Sure, she had proven her point, but she did it in a very ecoistic, self-absorbed way. There wasn't a lot in her head except to prove he had talent, something he is good at. And maybe, he wasn't as thrilled about it as I am? Maybe, he now just knew, and had no interest in magic? You never considered that, her mind scolded her.

You cannot keep doing that. He is, at the very least, a human being! You pushed your agenta onto him. For a good cause, sure, but was he in need of it? Or did you just assume he would gladly take it? How often must you act before you think, just to face the consequences of that? How many times more, hm? Her head verbally beat her up, and she looked to the ground. At least, apologize!

She took a good breath. „I think, it is better that we are going back." She started, trying to sort her thoughts. „Don't worry, we are not doing anything for today. For a while, really. Because you need to get better first." This is not an apology, Nerivie! This is a plan how to continue from here, without even asking if he wants that! „We can, however, go to to libary and just read about magic. It's important to learn the basics before we can apply the things written in here." Is that an apology? No! And you know that! This is not how you correct the inconsideration you have shown him before! You are blind, and ignorant, too!

Lunaris wrote something on the note pad: „Yes, please! Can we grab some food on the way back? I am really hungry!"

Nerivie opened her eyes wide, in shock. She suddenly realized: yes, they initially left for breakfast! „I forgot to give you breakfast, too? I am such an idiot, and ignorant! I...I dragged you all the way here, and never considered your feelings! I am soo, soo sorry! I was so focused to proof you that you have an affiliation, so you have something to be proud of... I...I didn't want to completly leave the most important thing behind in all of my attempts. And the most important thing is you. I deeply apologize! I feel like I failed you!"

Lunaris looked at her, and suddenly, there was a weight lifted from his shoulders. He couldn't say what it was, or where it came from, but he felt relieved. He really never thought he would have an affiliation. That he had a talent for anything. And if he believed the words of the priest, his light affiliation was a very, very stong one. The thought of it still didn't fit into his mind.

There was more space to fit in the things he had to know, the questions that now suddenly popped up between the anxious thoughts like dandelions in summer: „What is a light affiliation doing?" he wrote one of them, presenting the question and then looking at her.

„A lot! Even if you had a really weak one, you would be able to heal. And that, in my opinion, is the greatest power of all!" she exclaimed excited. You really don't learn, do you? Her mind scolded her again

Lunaris' eyes widened. Was it really so powerful? That only a little could do so much. He needed to know more! He needed to know everything!

„When can can we start learning it?" the eager Lunaris excitedly wrote down.

Nerivie was surprised by the reaction. After all she put him through, even FORCED him through, he still wanted to learn, and to know about it. You better take it slow from here! For real! No more pulling, no more pushing, no more forcing. You were trying to help him, that's fine, but with your attempts to help, you really need to keep the person you want to help in mind. Now, slow! She took a deep breath before she softly smiled: „Tomorrow! Let's go back, eat, sleep, maybe take a bath before that, then eat again. Maybe we walk around and see what the city is keeping from us! Maybe get you the fitting equipment! Tomorrow, we learn. Today, we just celebrate." She took his hand, and stopped. We said no more pulling, and the first thing you do is taking his hand to pull!

„I am sorry, I should stop dragging you around. I promise, i will no longer do that! It's really inconsiderate of me, and I nearly caused you serious physical harm. I really regret what I have done." She let go of his hand, looking quite guilty

Lunaris paused for a moment. Yes, that was exhausting. It was exhausting to keep track with her. All the impressions! All the things she introduced him to! But it was also fun, in a way.

At least, if she wasn't running like today to the temple. Or if it's hot like that. But he wanted to follow her anyway. He began to think, and wrote for a while: „Thank you for pushing and pulling me. I don't know if I will be a good student, or if I will be achieving anything, but I will try hard. And I apologize for hesitating so much, you had to pull me. Please keep pulling and pushing me. Just, maybe, turn around more often, please?"

She read it and looked at him, unsure how to react.

As an answer, his cheeks got a little bit red and he held his hand in her direction, as invitation for her to take. She smiled, and took it: „Alright. I will do that!" she said softly and he couldn't do anything that to break a timid smile.

Lunaris tried his best to keep up with her pace, and she made sure to walk beside him. It was an odd feeling for him. A mixture of excitement and a feeling of happiness. And suddenly, from the side where he had given his hand to her, Lunaris felt something new: the wispy expaction for what the future held for him.

It felt a little bit like a dream.
