Behind the curves of her painted lips,
A saddened soul in silence sips,
The pain she bears, a hidden plight,
Concealed beneath a false delight.
Her eyes, once bright with hope's pure glow,
Now dimmed by burdens forced to know,
A mask she wears, a guise so fair,
To shield the anguish she must bear.
Each day she faces, a silent test,
To keep her fragile heart suppressed,
Her smile, a well-rehearsed facade,
Betraying not the wounds she's flawed.
This facade, a necessary shield,
To keep her private wounds concealed,
Yet deep within, her spirit cries,
Yearning for honesty's reprise.
