A Goodbye Unheard

Farewell, dear world, a final refrain,

My time on this earth, too short to sustain.

The curtain falls, the stage grows dim,

As I bid my final goodbye, my world grows grim.

We've shared this address, side by side,

Yet you never knew the pain I tried to hide.

The mask I wore, a facade so bright,

Concealed the turmoil that ravaged me at night.

Tonight, the veil will lift, the truth laid bare,

As I take my leave, without a care.

No one will know, no one will see,

The empty space where I used to be.

In this final moment, I find no peace,

Only the weight of a life that could not cease.

But in the end, I choose this path to tread,

Goodbye, dear world, for I may soon be dead.
