Before the attack could land, a blur of movement shot out from the shadows. Another Logan came barreling in, tackling the first one with a growl. The two identical figures rolled across the floor, claws flashing as they grappled. Their snarls echoed through the narrow hall as they crashed into the next room, locked in a deadly struggle

The rest of the X-Men froze, stunned by the sight of two Logans battling it out. Scott's first instinct was to follow them into the adjacent room, but before anyone could move, both Logans shouted at the same time "Wait!"

The team hesitated at the doorway, unsure who to trust. And tension hung in the air like a thick fog

Suddenly, one of the Logans lashed out with his claws, slicing through a nearby lever. The door to the room slammed shut with a deafening clang, sealing the two combatants inside

"Damn it!" Scott hissed as the heavy door slammed shut, sealing the two Logans inside. He turned toward Storm and Jean, frustration etched on his face. "All right, back up. Back up," he ordered, motioning them away from the door, though his eyes never left it, his mind racing

Inside the room, the two Logans were locked in a vicious battle, claws flashing with metallic gleams in the dim light. One of them shoved the other against the wall, pinning him hard against the metal surface.

The pinned Logan growled, pushing back with all his strength, but the other Logan was faster—his claws slashing the other's in half

A yelp of pain rang out, but it wasn't Logan's voice. It was higher, sharper, and a lot more feminine

Inside the room, the imposter Logan, now visibly panicked, took a step back, rubbing her side as she regained her balance. She glared at the real Logan, who was stalking toward her, claws still bared

In a desperate move, Mystique slashed at a nearby control panel, causing the lights in the room to flicker and go out, plunging the space into darkness

The real Logan's low growl echoed through the room as he tried to track her by scent, but she was already making her escape

In the brief flicker of emergency lighting, she spotted a small gap in the corner, just large enough for her to slip through and Logan chased after her

On the other side of the door, Scott was ready to blast the door open when he and the others heard a sudden sound behind them

Toad lashed out with his tongue, Scott ducked when Toad grappled through the air but he kicked Scott square in the chest.

The force sent him flying backward, smashing through a glass display case with a tower inside. The impact left Scott groaning in pain, his body now pinned beneath the shattered remnants of the tower

Toad wasted no time. With a swift leap, he spun midair, using his powerful legs to land a double kick on Storm and Jean, knocking them both to the ground

Scott groaned in pain, Toad quickly used his tongue again, pulling the door shut with a loud slam, trapping Scott inside the room

Storm pushed herself up, her eyes narrowing ready to take the fight to Toad. But before she could attack, Toad's tongue lashed out again, this time wrapping around her wrists

With a vicious tug, he flung her across the room, sending her crashing into a table on the upper level. The wood splintered on impact, scattering broken pieces across the floor

As Toad stood up, he turned his attention to Jean. A wicked grin spread across his face as he slowly began to advance on her, sensing her hesitation. Jean instinctively backed up, her heart racing as Toad taunted her, dancing mockingly before lunging at her

But Jean was faster. With a flick of her hand, she unleashed her telekinesis, freezing Toad mid-air, suspending him above the floor. And for a moment, it seemed like she had him

Then, Toad spat a thick glob of green goo, hitting Jean square in the face. The substance burned, and in her moment of distraction, her telekinetic grip faltered

Toad dropped to the ground with a thud, quickly getting back to his feet, ready for the next move as Jean tried to get the Goo off of her face

Toad, got up and now refocused, turned his attention to Storm, who was on the upper level. With a leap, he bounded off a nearby pillar and then onto another ledge, scaling the structure with ease to reach her

Storm, seeing him approach, darted in the opposite direction, trying to put distance between them

But Toad was faster. He appeared in front of her with a wicked grin, cutting off her escape. Before Storm could react, his fist connected with her face, the blow sending her crashing into the cluttered table behind her

Glass and objects scattered across the floor, but Storm stayed on her feet, her eyes burning with defiance

Toad, unrelenting, followed up with a swift kick to her stomach. The force of the blow sent her flying backward into an open elevator shaft, her back slamming hard against the elevator wall

She slumped against the metal surface, gasping for breath as Toad approached, his taunts dripping with venom

He kicked up a pole that was holding up the elevator doors from closing and grabbed it with his hands, the doors started to close and toad played around the his new weapon

Scott groaned as he pushed the last bit of rubble off him, his visor sparking with frustration. He finally got a clear shot and unleashed an optic blast at the door that trapped him, blowing it open with a loud crash

He stumbled out, catching his breath. His eyes immediately fell on Jean, still on the floor, struggling to get the goo from her face

"Jean!" Scott's voice was filled with urgency as he sprinted toward her, dropping to his knees beside her. "Oh god..." he muttered, And tried to help her peel the green substance off her skin. The goo clung to her like tar

Meanwhile, deeper in the statue, Logan was locked in a brutal battle of wills with Mystique. She shifted between forms, one moment, she was Logan, her claws mirroring his exactly, the next, she twisted back into her blue-skinned self, eyes glinting with malice

Logan growled, slashing wildly, his adamantium claws swiping through the air as they clashed in a flurry of blows

Mystique, now in Logan's form, dodged nimbly, her movements eerily mirroring his own, making it hard for him to predict her next move

She snarled and ducked low, sweeping Logan's legs out from under him. He crashed to the ground but rolled with the momentum, quickly springing back up with a savage grunt

Mystique lunged, transforming mid-air into Logan once more, claws extended. Their blades met with a metallic clang, sparks flying as the two tangled

They twisted and slammed each other into the walls, the steel underfoot groaning beneath their weight. Logan pushed back hard, shoving Mystique into a metal beam, only for her to use the impact to flip over him, landing behind and slashing at his back

Mystique grinned wickedly, turning back into herself, eyes glowing yellow. She swiped at him again, but Logan caught her wrist this time, twisting it hard. She let out a snarl of pain

She used her free hand to elbow him in the ribs and knock him back. Logan let out a sharp grunt, but this time he was ready. He spun around and slashed at her midsection, his claws finding their mark

Mystique hissed in pain, staggering back as she clutched her side, the wound already beginning to heal. Logan took a step forward, wiping the blood from his lip with the back of his hand
