"I think you'll be comfortable here" Jean said to Logan after she turned on the lamp in the bedroom"Wheres your room?" Logan asked her out of curiosity
"with Scott down the hall" Jean answered
"Is that your gift? Putting up with that guy?" Logan taunted as he opens the closet, checking it out. He doesn't really like this Scott guy very much, its either because of jealousy or he just literally doesn't like the guy
"Actually, im telekinetic" Jean spoke "i can move things with my mind" She started walking towards Logan
"Really? what kinds of things?" He asked, not bothering to close the closet door
But he didn't need to close it since jean closed it for him with her telekinesis "All kinds of things" she answered "i also have some telepathic ability"
"Like your professor?" Logan asked "No where near that powerful" Jean sighed
"But he's teaching me to develop it"Logan starts walking closer to Jean, closing the gap between them. If you walked in, you might think you were interrupting....something "So read my mind" Logan said. His tone is both a dare and a request for her to test her powers on him
"i'd rather not" Jean declines. Shaking her head "Come on, you afraid you might like it?" His tone is low and slightly provocative, dripping with playful challenge. He's fully aware of the impact his words might have on Jean and is testing to see how she'll respond
Jean's reaction is a mix of surprise and controlled amusement. She raises an eyebrow, a slight smile playing at the corners of her mouth "i'd doubt it" she says
She is very caught off guard by Logan's directness, and while she tries to maintain her professional demeanor, it's clear that his words might have struck a chord
Jean gently places her hands on either side of his head, preparing to access his thoughts. As she closes her eyes to focus her telepathic powers
His mind is filled with fragmented and chaotic memories. The images are intense and distressing, showcasing the traumatic experiences Logan has endured
As Jean navigates through his subconscious, her face reflects the emotional toll of what she's witnessing. The pain and suffering Logan has experienced are apparent in her expression, revealing her deep empathy and concern
But not even a second later Logan pulls her hands away from his head, stopping her from seeing anymore of his past "What do you see?" he whispers
he and Logan share a moment of silence. Jean's expression is one of profound sympathy "Scott" Jean notices him in the doorway
The air between the three characters thickness with unspoken words and emotions. Scott clearly feels the sting of seeing Jean and Logan so close, but he's too composed to openly confront them about it.
Jean is caught in the middle, trying to navigate her feelings for both men without causing more friction. Logan, meanwhile, seems to enjoy the subtle power play, using the moment to his advantage to further needle Scott
Logan lets go of her hands and she slowly backs away, a bit worried that Scott would misunderstand the current situation "Good night, Logan" She says and heads towards the door
As Jean passes Scott, there's a brief, tense exchange of looks. Scott's eyes are filled with hurt and confusion, while Jean's are apologetic yet firm, as if she's trying to convey that this isn't the time or place for a confrontation. Jean exits the room, leaving the two men alone
Logan smirks and turns around to looks at Scott "You gonna tell me to stay away from your girl?" His tone is both taunting and genuine
Scott doesn't hesitate in his response and says in calm confidence "If I had to do that, she wouldn't be my girl" His tone is measured, firm, and carries a quiet strength
"Hmm. Well, then, I guess you've got nothing to worry about, do you?, Cyclops" He says walking closer to the door with his lil smirk. His tone is dripping with sarcasm, he is deliberately pushing Scott's buttons, testing the boundaries of his confidence
Scott, ever composed but clearly annoyed, doesn't hesitate to fire back "Yeah, it must just burn you that a boy like me saved your life, huh?" His voice carries a mix of sarcasm and bitterness
Logan narrowed his eyes slightly, smirk disappearing. He doesn't immediately respond, his expression hardening as he continues to face Scott
Scott doesn't stop there. He presses on, his tone firm and a little colder now "You ought to be careful. I might not be there next time" This time he's the one smirking (just kiss already jesus christ)
He begins to walk away, but he pauses just before hes out of Logan's sight. He turns slightly, delivering a final, pointed remark "Oh, and Logan, stay away from my girl" His tone is calm but carries a steely resolve
As Scott walks away, Logan stands there, his expression a mix of frustration and amusement. He might give a slight smirk or a low growl, irritated by Scott's parting words but also somewhat entertained by the confrontation
He's not one to back down easily, and Scott's warning is more of a challenge than a deterrent. Logan's mind is most likely still on Jean, and Scott's attempt to assert control only adds fuel to the fire
