You woke up, cleaned yourself up, and headed downstairs. The mansion was quiet in the early morning, and you took the time to do a few things—grabbing some breakfast, checking on Rogue, making sure everything was in order after the chaos from the day before.

The calmness was a stark contrast to what had just happened, and you couldn't help but feel the weight of it all finally catching up.

As you made your way through the halls, you ran into Scott. "Hey," he greeted, his tone casual but friendly.

"Hey, Scott," you replied, smiling back. You both started chatting about the mission, the aftermath, and how things were looking moving forward. Eventually, you asked, "By the way, have you seen Logan? I figured he'd still be around."

Scott glanced at you, his expression shifting slightly. "He's not here," he said, almost hesitantly. "He had a mission up north."

That caught you off guard. "Up north?" You frowned, a little confused. You and Logan had been inseparable since meeting, and suddenly he was gonna be leaving

Scott nodded, sensing your surprise. "Yeah, didn't say much. Just that he had to handle some things there"

You didn't let the conversation linger too long, though your mind was already racing. "I'll be back," you said quickly, and without waiting for Scott's response, you headed out of the mansion to find Logan.

It didn't take long for you to find him, you found him on the edge of the mansion's grounds, just outside the gate, packing up 'his' motorcycle

"Logan?" you called out, walking up to him.

He turned to face you, his eyes narrowing just slightly as he realized you'd found him. "I got some things to take care of up north," he said, his voice gruff but without any real edge. It was just matter-of-fact.

You crossed your arms, still a little skeptical. "Really? Then why not tell me before you were halfway out the door?"

He chuckled, tossing his jacket over his shoulder. "Because I knew you'd make that face." His tone was teasing, and it softened the tension between you

You frowned, crossing your arms. "You're just leaving? We've gone everywhere together since we met, and now what? You're heading off on your own?"

Logan sighed, adjusting the pack on his bike and gave you a small smile. "It's not like I'm gonna be gone forever. Just going to take care of a few things You'll hardly know I was gone."

You narrowed your eyes at him. "That's what you said last time, and you were gone for weeks."

Logan grinned, leaning back against the bike. "Okay, okay, I get it. You miss me already."

You couldn't help but roll your eyes, though there was a slight smile on your face. "Yeah, sure, that's it."

He tossed you a playful look. "You'll be fine without me for a bit. Hell, maybe i can get some actual sleep without you snoring."

"I don't snore!" you shot back, Logan chuckled "I'll bring you back a souvenir or something. Maybe a nice rock." He said

You shook your head, a laugh escaping you despite yourself. "Yeah, you better. And don't get into too much trouble up there."

Logan waved you off with a grin. "Trouble? Me? Never."

"Just don't get yourself killed out there," you muttered, turning away.

Logan's voice followed you as you walked back toward the mansion. "Don't worry. I always come back."

Despite his casual attitude, as you walked back to the mansion, you couldn't help but feel that familiar knot of worry
