Two days later,
After all the legal work was out of the way James and Winnie returned to Fort Benning with her nieces and nephews.
"Xavier!" Bucky said as he ran out the door.
He hugged his cousin so tight, "hi little J.." Xavier said
"Come on..you and Noelle come on I take care of you now.." he said as he took Noelle's hand and Xavier's.
James smiled at the three of them, "Thanks Dad for taking care of all this here." James said as he met his dad on the porch of their new home.
"You're welcome son. And Winnie darlin I am so sorry this has happened. Colin was a good soldier before he left for college." James Sr said
"Thank you. Jules and Colin thought the world of you just like Mom and dad." She said as they went inside.
They worked out sleeping arrangements, Bucky Xavier and Coy shared a room while their older brothers were in a room. The two older sisters shared a room and Noelle had her room across from the little boys room.
Back in NY, Hilaria was struggling with the lost of Nate she couldn't even bury him. She dropped the kids off at her sisters, and went home got drunk as she looked at their pictures, then she swallowed a bunch of pain pills.
Work called her sister Natalia the next day when she never showed up, Natalia and Ivan went over to check on her to find Hilaria dead on the bathroom floor holding a picture of her and Nate.
"Oh sis.." Natalia said
They called the coroner, and they had a small funeral service. Ivan and Natalia took over guardianship of Tessa and the twins.
Tessa was confused and didn't understand what was going on. She was quiet and kept to herself. Her cousins Nat and Lena did their best to help her adjust to her new life.
