Two nights later, Bucky got ready for the military ball in Coy's room cause he wanted to be surprised when he saw Tessa's dress.
Tessa was doing make up touch ups in his dresser mirror when he walked in. His jaw hit the floor when he saw her bent over in a tight black and white gown.
"Holy fuck.." he whispered as he felt his dick twitch in his pants.
He finally walked over to her. "you look so incredibly gorgeous Tessa baby..my God what a dress." He said as he finished the zipper for her.
"I'm glad you like it.." she said
"Oh baby I more than like it I love it..it hugs every curve of yours like a glove. And quite honestly darlin it makes me wish I could take it off of you and fuck your brains out." He said
Her cheeks turned pink, "Oh darlin don't get all shy on me now. We have done a lot of dirty things that should turn this adorable cheeks and dimples pink." He said
He helped her slip on her heels, and she put on her jewelry.
"Ok I'm ready.." she said
He looked at her then he opened his bag, "one more thing baby cause something is missing." He said
She looked at him confused, "I love you Tessa..from the moment I laid eyes on you I just knew that I wasn't going to be able to forget you. You are the light in my world, my beautiful angel. I know we haven't been together very long, and I know we really never made things official. But I have fallen head over heels in love with you. I don't want to lose you, I don't want to waste another second of not making you my girl. So will you please marry me?" He said as he dropped to one knee.
She smiled so big, "Yes, yes I will James.." she said
He slipped the ring on her finger, he stood up and dusted off his uniform. They shared a kiss and agreed to wait till the next morning to make the announcement.
They arrived at the military ball, and found his family. When she stepped away to the bathroom Bucky found the base chaplin.
"Are you free on Saturday?" Bucky said
"I'm free in the afternoon. Do you need some counseling?" The chaplin said
"No..um my fiancee and I would like to get married Saturday. I'm being deployed next month and I don't want to wait another second." Bucky said
"We can definitely do that." The chaplin said as Tessa joined them.
"He agreed to it my love." Bucky said to Tessa.
"Yay!" She said
"Sugar Sugar" by The Archies began to play, and he let out chuckle as the chaplain walked away.
"What is it?" She said
"This song is what I heard the moment I first laid eyes on you coming down those stairs that day." He said as he led her to the dance floor.
An hour later, a cake was brought out for James' birthday.
