The next day, Fort Benning was hosting a base wide BBQ. Bucky helped his dad pull out the large bbq grill while his brothers and brother in laws helped set up tables with Sam and his dad.
"Dad later today I need to talk to the family privately." Bucky said
"Ok son, is everything ok?" James said as he started up the grill
"Oh yeah it's nothing bad it's very good." Bucky said with a smile
"Ok..well I will gather up the family when you are ready." James said
"Thanks..now I'm going to go get my girl." He said with a smile.
When he arrived back at his parents house he found Tessa putting on her red lipstick.
"Hey gorgeous..you are looking mighty fine." He said as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck.
She let out a giggle.
"And by the way I never got a chance to tell you that the reason why I didn't say anything about coming down with the others is because I knew that my super sexy gorgeous girl had school and I didn't want to disrupt it." He whispered as he began to suck on her neck.
"Mmmm James.." she whispered
"Mmmm fuck the way you whisper my name...I'm just making sure everyone here knows my girl is taken." He whispered
"You are going to make us late if you keep doing that." She whispered
"I do not care.." he said as he went to shut his door.
They began to make out, and he put her against the wall after he pulled her shorts down and thrusted into her. Once they finished they got dressed and headed to the BBQ.
The whole day was a fun filled day with corn hole, water guns and water balloon fights. Obstacle races and karaoke. As the sun started to see they set off fireworks to close out the day.
James gathered the family in his office.
"Buchanan has an announcement..the floor is yours son." James said as he went to stand next to Winnie.
Bucky smiled as he took Tessa's hand, "Um last night..I popped the question to Tessa and she said yes..and um we are getting married this Saturday in a private ceremony. I already talked to chaplain and set up a time." He said
The family was shocked, and all started to talk over each other.
"Everyone please..shush for a minute. I know it's sudden and fast but I don't want to wait any longer. I love her and I knew from the moment I met her she was the one." Bucky said
Winnie looked at her husband who was beaming Bucky was the last one to get hitched out of all the kids.
