It was September 11th, and the base set up a stage and James' kids set up their band set and microphones. At around 7PM everyone gathered for the annual memorial service.
Winnie walked up on the stage, "Good evening everyone I am Winnie Barnes' Col Barnes wife if some of you don't know. And these kids are my babies that are about to perform..but tonight will be a little different as they have added a new member to the band..and she will be starting us off." Winnie walked off stage.
"Will everyone please stand.." Tessa said
Everyone stood, and removed their hats as a flag dropped behind her. She began to sang the National Anthem Acapella. After she finished she sang "Amazing Grace" Acapella which made everyone cry.
"Thank you" she said as she got a standing ovation.
The boys walked on the stage, Bucky kissed her "Beautiful baby." He whispered as he went to his spot. She joined his sister's to play violin with them.
The boys started up "Where The Stars and Stripes" by Aaron Tippin, Xavier started them off with the first verse while Bucky did the second verse and Coy did the last verse.
Then they went into "In Color" by Jamey Johnson, they saw their grandfathers singing along with tears. Bucky sang the last verse to the song, and he smiled as he sang about blue eyes.
"My boy" James whispered
Their next song was "If You Are Reading This", Benjamin and Silas Bucky's two older brothers took the lead on that song. Then they went into a Toby Kieth block of songs, "American Soldier", "Courtesy of The Red White & Blue" and "My list"
Then Tessa walked up to a mic with her guitar, and she began to sang "Heaven By Noon"..behind her was pictures of her dad, her and her brothers and mom.
Winnie felt tears fall down her cheeks, Bucky saw her wipe them and he smiled at her. He knew she would love the song. After she finished the boys sang "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down.
"Where Were You When the World stopped turning" was another they did. They did a bunch of patriotic songs.
