Watching Topaz interact with the others, I could notice multiple things that are completely out of character with how Topaz would actually act.

They are small things, but I noticed them. The others don't seem to have noticed these things.

Narrowing my eyes at him, maybe I'm just thinking too hard on these things but it would be best to keep an eye out for anything off.

Even if I am thinking too hard about this, that wouldn't explain why his connections are warped and not fully there.

Like a false connection, a thing created specifically to trick my color, an ancient trick used ages ago. A type of magic that the other colors would call 'dark'.

That just makes this all even more strange, Topaz is not the type of Steve to utilize such a thing.

So what is going on?

Topaz looks up and catches me staring at him, he tenses before relaxing and glaring directly at me, shifting to make himself seem bigger.

Looking away, hearing a grating laugh in my ears as I do so.

Slowly turning my head to look towards him again, watching as he walks over towards Peridot.

Watching as Peridot walked out of the room with Topaz right beside him, silent words were passed between the two and my hands twitched.

An actual connection was appearing between them, and for once a connection made me want to tear my hair out.

It was a connection that while being created, was already supposed to be there, A connection had already been made between the Yellow and Green Leader, a connection that's already been made amongst us all.

I needed to figure out what was going on.

I was going to figure it out, there's nothing that was going to stop me from figuring it out.

It felt like I needed to figure it out, because whatever it was, was clearly a threat towards Topaz himself, and my fellow leaders.

And that will not do.

Not at all.

"Amy." Nearly jumping out of my skin as Citrine sets a hand on my shoulder, "Are you alright, you've been glaring at the door for a few minutes now." With his free hand he motions towards the now closed door.

"Yeah, I'm alright just thinking a little too hard." I respond, rubbing the back of my neck in embarrassment, "I mean I'm slightly stressed but I probably just need fresh air."

"Well that's alright. Though if you need air, I think it'd be best to bring guards, we don't know what happened to Topaz yet, and with Rue practically fainting in the kingdom, I don't think we can handle anything else happening to one of us." The Orange Leader removes his hand from my shoulder with a look of concern sent at me.

"I should be fine, I was just going to go out onto a balcony." I dismissed his worries, there was no need for him to worry.

"Anyways I should be off as should you, we have duties to perform." I smiled at him, hoping to make the concern go away.
