*Sabre*

  It was already morning when I snuck back into the borrowed house, sighing as I gathered what would be needed for the trip to the Desert Kingdom.

Water is going to be really needed and protective gear to go against the heat. Hovering a hand over the bandana that was wrapped around my eyes, maybe I should change things up?

Sighing I lower my hand, nevermind, It's one of the things that I've had since before I've even entered this world. One of the few things I know from the 'before'.

Besides, I'm practically immune to the heat.

But I should still pack for the adventure to the Desert Kingdom, I don't know how the heat affects Avery or even the Forest Steve's that are coming with me.

Though for Avery, according to Aurora, he's half Desert Steve, so he might be either completely immune to heat or able to withstand it longer than a Chromatic.

I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I'll bring stuff for both me and him in case it's bad enough that neither of us can handle the heat.

Everything was packed and ready, time to check up on Avery and see if he's ready to go.

Then meet up with the Forest Steve's that are going to be bringing us to the Desert Kingdom.

Opening the door to the room that Avery was using, to see that the chick, uh, kid was already up.

"Hey bud!" I exclaim and wave at the child who immediately perks up upon hearing my voice.

"Baba!" He exclaims back, he skips up to me and smiles.

"You ready to go to the Desert Kingdom with me?" I ruffle his hair, watching as what appears to be dust comes off but immediately vanishes nearly as soon as it flies off.

Well that's cool.

"Mhmm." He nods, before lifting his arms up at me. Immediately scooping him up into my arms, and just as quickly I settle him on my hip.

Walking out of his room and towards where the living room is, I can hear talking from the direction of said room.

Lifting an eyebrow at the sight of two Forest Steve's chatting away on the sofa and another leaning on the back of it.

One stands up and the one who was leaning against the couch takes the spot. The standing Steve takes a few steps forward.

"Sabre good morning! I am Zahra, it is a pleasure to meet friends of the sapling." She bows her head to me, she looks like the season of fall given form.

She motions to the Forest Steve with purple flowers settling in their hair, "This is Clematis, they aren't very talkative!"

"And this," She motions towards the other Forest Steve, this one beats Sage in the tall game, and is covered in scars, "Is Everett!"

"Pleasure is mine." Everett nods while Clematis just waves.

"Cherith is waiting outside! But first! Do you have any questions?" Zahra chirps out.

"Yeah actually, are we teleporting into the desert and walking all the way to the kingdom or are we teleporting directly into the kingdom?" With my response she hums and glances at Everett who pushes himself up.

"We won't be teleporting in the kingdom, we will be teleporting close by." Everett answers.

"Teleport?" Avery pipes up from where he was resting against me.
