CHAPTER NINE. Quiet cabin.

WRENLEY RAUTHA'S POV.

I feel the car slow down , I don't know how long we've been driving , but the sun has set, to be fair I zoned out a little.

Liam had one of his moments again , moments where he misses Lana.. my mom , that's when he starts throwing shit while asking me how I could have done this to her , how I could have done this to my own mother..

I look over at Raiden when he takes out his phone as he parks the car , when I look infront of me there's just a cabin .. cozy ?

Didn't really take Raiden for the type.

I get out of the car and when I look around I finally realise we're in the middle of nowhere , we're in a clearing surrounded by nothing but trees , there's no sounds except birds.

When I hear the car door shut I look back , he's watching me.

"Where are we ?" I ask but clear my throath at the sound of my voice when it cracks.
Jesus fuck that was embarrasing.

"Does it matter ?" he questions before he opens the door to the cabin and goes inside , I take another look around before I follow.

"What is this place ?" I continue questioning him as I watch him turn on the dim lights and take off his shoes.

"A cabin ?" he looks at me as if I'm stupid.

I roll my eyes "I can see that."

"Great then don't ask." I frown at his response, as he walks further into the cabin I follow but he stops me , putting his hand on my chest and nudging me back.

I glare at him as I take a step back "What ?" 

He nods to my shoes , I only cross my arms "I'm not taking them off."

Raiden sucks in his bottom lip , turning away from me slightly , he lets out a breath as if he's trying to control himself before he turns to me once more "And why not Wren ?"

I shrug "Need them incase I wanna play chase with you."

He raises his eyebrow before he grins just the slightest bit , he shakes his head as he gets down on one knee infront of me "Oh wow baby , that's soon. But ofcourse I will marry you." I joke , Raiden swats at my leg "Shut up will you ?" he says as he grabs my ankle and pulls it to him , I put my hand on his shoulder to steady myself.

He unties my shoes and takes them off , I can only stare in awe as he does.

What's going on with him ?

A cozy little cabin in the woods , taking my shoes off..

"What's up with you ?" I ask him as he stand up , he only gives me this stoic look before he walks further into the cabin , I roll my eyes and groan before following after him , we get to what seems to be the living room , there's a big couch with soft looking blankets on it.

Raiden looks around as if he doesn't even know this place.

"Who's cabin did we break into ?" I finally ask.

Raiden shakes his head "It's mine I just never came here before."

I walk over to the couch and notice there's not even a damn tv in here "It's boring." I tell him.

"I didn't exactly decorate it Wrenley."

"Wren." I correct him which earns me an unimpressed look.

"How long did we drive ?"

"God Wren will you just stop talking ?" he glares at me , his annoyance radiating off of him in waves.

I glare right back at him.

His glare cracks slightly as he speaks "Oh come on don't give me that look."

I scoff and look away "So , what's the plan ?" I ask even tho he just told me to shut up.
He huffs "We're staying here."

I look back at him "Together ?" I question instead of asking why , it doesn't matter , I don't want to go back to that house anyway.

I sit down on the couch , pulling my knees to my chest as I look at him expectantly.

"I'm guessing you don't want to go home anytime soon so yeah .. just for a little." He awnsers.

"What's a little ?"

He shrugs "Few days." he says as he sits down on the couch.

Few days ? Alone ? With him ?

Don't get too exited now Wren , be cool , casual.

"So , we sleeping in the same bed or what ?" I rush out.

Very casual Wren, great fucking job.

"No." there his reply comes crushing down on all of my dreams.

"Right." I narrow my eyes at him.

I cross my arms over my knees "I want food." I anounce , he looks at me before he gets up and walks over to what I asume to be the kitchen.

He walks back out a minute later "Pizza ?" he asks.

I nod "Sure." he dissapears into the kitchen once more.

I get up to explore the cabin , ending up discovering one bedroom which just like the rest of the cabin is decorated with a warm feeling which is all a stark contrast to Raiden himself.

I don't doubp for a second that he really did not decorate this himself.

Then there's a bathroom which has a large stone bathtub , a brown fur carpet right infront of the tub and a sink with a mirror above it on the opposite wall from the bathtub.

Everything about this cabin is cozy yet simple , nothing too fancy.

It's almost .. romantic.

"Wren get your ass over here." I hear Raiden's voice call out which has me spinning on my heels and heading back to the livingroom , there's pizza on the small wooden table infront of the couch , Raiden isn't there tho , I go to the kitchen and as I turn the corner I stop to .. admire him.

He's cleaning , Raiden Romano is cleaning the damn kitchen after making frozen oven pizza for me.

I don't know what you'd call this but I'd say this is fucking romantic , his eyes snap to me as if he felt my presence or maybe the creaking wooden floor had let him know I was there the second I set a single step into the direction of the kitchen.

"What ?" he questions , his tone accusatory as always.

Still I can't help but smile "Nothing." I mumble before leaving the kitchen , I grab a slice of pizza and sit down on the couch as I start eating , I pull out my phone when Raiden doesn't join me , I stare at the cracks on the screen before turning it on.. only to find that it doesn't turn on at all.

I curse under my breath while glaring at the black screen that stares right back at me.

Would Liam still be unconsious ?
