365 days.
WRENLEY RAUTHA.
It's been three-hundred sixty-five days since I've seen Raiden, three-hundred sixty-five days since he locked me up in his fucking basement, Emery still comes by every few days to keep me somewhat sane.
I look around the room which looks the exact same as it did yesterday, as every day, the same it will probably look tomorrow.
Thick concrete walls, thick metal door with no way of me opening it.
No furniture besides a simple singleperson bed with a single blanket, not even a pillow, there's a plastic cup with water on the floor besides the bed, a toilet in the corner and a hose in the other which I use to shower.
Worst room service ever.
The door creacks open and I push up off the bed but it's not Emery who walks in, it's not Theo.. it's Raiden.
A clean stubble graces his jaw as his piercing eyes take me in, his gaze is calm.. cold.. calculated.. different and my heart dares to ache at the fact.
I raise my chin as I stare at him.
He leans against the doorframe for a moment.
"Three-hundred sixty-five days." I mutter.
He looks at me before he smiles, it's forced, he steps aside "Go." his voice is rougher than I remember.
"What?" I hiss.
"You're free to go." he clarifies calmly.
"You've gotta be shitting me." I rasp out "You locked me up here for a fucking year Raiden!" I snap.
"I let you live. Don't make me regret my patience with you Rautha." his eyes narrow dangerously.
I shake my head "Fuck you." my voice is barely a whisper, his jaw twitches when I walk over.
"I waited for you." I grit out.
"I never asked you to." he says, his tone indifferent.
"God." I push past him and walk up the stairs.
"I'll give you three days." Raiden speaks up from the door.
I pause in my steps "For what?"
"To run. If I find you I'll kill you, just like I planned to and failed when I met you." I look over my shoulder at him, taken aback by his distant words because something tells me he's serious about this.
He wants me dead and suddenly knocking him out and tying him up seems to have been the worst decision I have ever made.
I blink as I look at him.
His gaze locks onto me, he waits for a moment before he smiles "Run little rabbit." he murmers.
I turn my gaze back infront of me and head up the stairs before navigating my way out of the mansion.
It had always been dumb luck.
I wanted to see him differently, not just for what his family raised him to be.
And when I met him he hesitated.
He was intrigued by the facade I put up.
He wouldn't kill me, I knew that much.
But over a year has passed since then, Emery told me Kitana went behind his back, shit hit the fan, their parents got killed in the shootout, Emery got shot but ended up being fine after a few days but Raiden.. Raiden took everything from everyone who was involved.. and now he runs not only the mafia but he's practically a drug lord now too, the mafia expanded, grew more powerful and as he changed everything around him.. he changed.
I didn't wanna believe Raiden had changed, not my Raiden.
But I see it now.
He has become what his family expected from him.
I stop in my tracks when sunlight hits my face, my eyes squint as I look around.
I take in a deep breath before continue walking.
I believe it now.
Raiden Romano is a dangerous, cold man.
As I'm walking down the street I start thinking.
I missed my graduation, that's for sure.
I'm walking to a house I'm not even sure belongs to me anymore.
Did anyone look for me?
Does everyone think I'm dead?
Not that I really had friends or family..
Where do I go?
Is there any point to running from him at all?
Will my sunny personality somehow get me out of this again?
