Madison~

My mom once told me that the only way to a man's heart was through his stomach, but younger me never liked cooking until I was married to Christian, so therefore I dedicated to teaching myself on how to cook.

I stare down proudly at the dishes I prepared, feeling content from using brand new pots and pans, I couldn't help but sing and dance from happiness that this is my kitchen, my home.

Earlier today, Nathan and Sharon, our enthusiastic realtor, led me through the stunning six-bedroom, six-bathroom estate. The sheer grandeur of the property left me breathless.
As we strolled through the impeccably designed interior, I couldn't help but envision countless memories to be made within these walls. The true beauty was the sprawling backyard, seamlessly blending into a private forest that beckoned exploration. A seven-car garage, now home to my trio of sleek new vehicles, a reality that still feels surreal.

Everything is still sinking in.

And the only way he said to repay him was with a good home cooked meal, so I poured all my love into this.

I hope Nathan likes my cooking, especially considering the fact that it's my first time doing so for him.

I hear his voice echoing in the hallway, his footsteps nearing as I quickly place the dirty dishes into the sink.

"Yes Sebastian, I got the documents. Give Anderson my estimated time of arrival." There was a pause before he spoke again, "Alright, see you tomorrow."
Nathan enters the kitchen, and I watch as he ends the call.

"What's happening tomorrow?" I can't help but ask, since he hasn't mentioned anything about returning to work once we got back from Greece.

He places the phone into his pocket, "I'll tell you abit later." He stares down at the food on the island smiling, "Wow, I can't wait to put that into my mouth."

     "That's what she said."

Nathan and I both stare at each other and he breaks the awkwardness first with a hearty laugh and so do I.
He points at my glass of wine on the counter, "You feeling good?"

I approach him slowly, giving him a shy smile, "Euphoric, like everything just feels good."

With you.

He stares at me softly but then slowly approaches the the upper cabinet grabbing a glass to pour him some red wine, and takes a sip, "Oh yeah that's good." He chuckles.

I return back to the prepared dishes, "If you're ready to eat, I'll set the table."

"Actually, I was thinking we could sit in the living room, on the couch? I'll get the fireplace going."

"I'd like that." I say and watch as he smiles at me satisfied with my answer.

...

"You didn't tell me you're such a good cook, Madison." He leans back into the couch, "You should give me some tips next time because I've almost burned down my place once."

I laugh, sitting back with my glass of wine in hand, "What?"

"Yeah but there's something you actually don't know about me." Nathan looks back at me with his low eyes, the hue from the fireplace giving him a ungodly aura.

We are also pretty both tipsy from the wine.

"What don't I know about you, Nathan Lane? You're like a box filled with secrets, it's hard to crack you open."
