None POV:

The atmosphere in the backyard shifted as soon as Kagami walked in, holding the big gift box and smiling like she hadn't just torn Emma's world apart year ago.

Adrien's heart sank to his dick, and he clenched his fists, trying to keep his anger in check. Emma, who had been laughing moments ago, froze. The sight of her mother brought back memories she tried so hard to forget... her third birthday when Kagami left without saying goodbye, leaving her little heart shattered.

Kagami's presence was like a storm cloud casting a shadow over Emma's bright day. The little girl backed up, her eyes wide with fear, tears already pooling at the corners. She squeezed Marinette's hand and hid behind her nanny, her safe place.

Marinette: Emma, it's okay, sweetheart

The bluenette whispered, trying to calm her, but Emma's tiny body was trembling. Kagami took a step forward, holding the box out with a forced smile.

Kagami: Emma, happy birthday. I brought you a special gift.

Emma didn't move. She stared at Kagami with a mix of fear and anger, her little lips quivering. Adrien watched closely, ready to jump in if needed. Kagami pushed the box closer, trying to be friendly.

Kagami: come on, baby. Don't you want to see what's inside? It's a gift from your mama

Emma hesitated, then grabbed the box with shaky hands. She didn't open it. Instead, she turned, hurled it straight into the pool, and watched it sink. She ran back to Marinette, clinging to her legs as she started to cry as Kagami's face turned red with anger.

Kagami: Emma, what the hell? I brought that for you.

Adrien stepped forward toward his trembling little Emma

Adrien: back off, Kagami. You don't get to get in here and pretend everything is fine.

Ignoring him, Kagami's eyes locked onto Marinette.

Kagami: oh, so this is how it is? The fucking nanny playing mommy? Trying to steal my daughter, huh? You think you can take my place

Marinette kept her composure, but her grip on Emma tightened protectively.

Marinette: I'm not trying to steal anything. I'm here because I love Emma, and she knows it. Something you clearly don't understand.

Kagami scoffed, crossing her arms.

Kagami: love? Don't make me laugh. You are just a gold digging whore, sniffing around Adrien because you see an easy payday. You aren't her mother; I am. And I'm Adrien's wife

Adrien: ex wife, Kagami. Get it straight. Marinette has done more for Emma in a single day than you ever did in your entire damn life. You don't get to insult her.

Felix: oh, Kagami, you look like you got a stick up your ass. Maybe Nathaniel can pull it out for you."

Zoe smirked, shaking her head.

Zoe: Kagami, you are a fucking joke. You gave up your kid for a fashion show and now you think you can play happy mom? Get real.

Kagami: oh, shut up, Felix. Your whole life is just a pathetic sideshow. And Zoe, stick to playing fairy tales; that's all you are good for.

Felix: better a fairy tale than the tragic horror show you call your life.

The little toddler looked up from Marinette's side, her eyes still wet.
