Biological Mother

None POV:

It had been a rough week. The cheerful light in Emma's eyes had dimmed, replaced with a quiet sadness

She barely spoke, spending most of her time curled up in bed clutching her stuffed ladybug. Marinette stayed by her side constantly, holding her hand, stroking her hair, and whispering soft words of comfort. Zoe, always close by, tried to help Emma to eat, but the little girl only nibbled on bites here and there, her appetite gone.

Marinette sat beside Emma on the bed, running a damp cloth over her pale cheeks "baby bug, you need to eat" she murmured gently "Just a few bites for Mama, okay?"

Emma shook her head silently, her small hands gripping her ladybug tighter. Zoe exchanged a worried glance with Marinette before sitting on the edge of the bed "Come on, baby bug. Just a few bites, and I'll tell you one of my secret jokes. You can even tell Papa later and make him laugh."

But Emma didn't respond. She turned her face toward the wall, silent tears rolling down her cheeks. Marinette's heart ached as she leaned down, kissing the top of Emma's head.

Downstairs, Adrien and Felix were in the living room. Adrien poured himself a shot of whiskey, downing it quickly before slamming the glass onto the table "I swear to fucking God, Felix" he groaned, pacing the room. "If that bitch thinks she is walking out of this tribunal with custody of my daughter, she is fucking delusional"

Felix leaned back in his chair, his eyes following Adrien's every move "She doesn't give a damn about Emma" he said "This is all about her bruised ego. She is pissed because you moved on, and Marinette is everything she will never fucking be. A real mother. A real partner. Kagami is just a cold, self absorbed pussy who can't handle being irrelevant."

Adrien's hands clenched into fists as he stopped pacing, turning to face his brother. "She abandoned Emma, Felix. She didn't give a single fuck about her for years, and now she wants to waltz back into her life like she is some kind of fucking saint? Fuck that. Emma is mine. She is Marinette's. Kagami has no fucking place in her life."

Felix smirked "And that's exactly what we will remind the judge. She is a manipulative piece of shit who thinks she can just use her money and her pussy to get whatever she wants. But this isn't some business deal she can fuck her way through. This is family."

Adrien slammed his hand on the table, his eyes blazing "You are damn right it is. And if I have to drag her name through the mud, I will. She is not taking Emma. Not now, not ever."

Before Felix could respond, the sound of soft footsteps on the stairs made them both turn. Marinette, Zoe, and Emma were coming down together. Marinette looked exhausted, dark circles under her eyes, but her focus was entirely on Emma, who clutched her hand tightly. Emma's cheeks were pale, and her eyes were red, filled with tears that hadn't yet fallen.
