None POV:

After the party, Marinette get into little Emma's room. The night had been filled with laughter and excitement, and now it was time to get Emma ready for bed.

Marinette knelt beside her, gently unbuttoning the party dress. Emma's big, sleepy eyes stared up at her nanny with pure love.

Emma: Marinette, I know you are really a fairy.

Marinette: A fairy?

Marinette's heart swelled, smiling down at the little girl. Emma nodded, wrapping her tiny arms around Marinette's neck and pulling her into a tight hug.

Emma: you are magic. I love you so much.

That hit Marinette deep in her chest. She hugged Emma back

Marinette: I love you too, mini bug. So, so much.

Emma pulled away slightly, her eyelids fluttering with sleep. "Can you tell me a story? Please?

Marinette smiled and tucked her under the blankets.

Marinette: okay, how about the story of Ladybug and Cat Noir?

The little toddler's face lit up.

Emma: yes. Tell me about them.

The bluenette began as she told the story of the brave Ladybug and the charming Cat Noir. But before she could even finish, Emma's eyes had already closed. She was asleep.

Marinette smiled down at her, gently brushing the hair from her face, and kissed her forehead. She stood up quietly, turning off the light, and left Emma's room, closing the door softly behind her.

Now, it was time to check on Adrien. She made her way down the hall to his room and opened the door. Inside, she found Adrien pacing back and forth, his face full of worry.

Marinette: Adrien?

He turned to her and rubbed his temples

Adrien: I just... I can't stop worrying about Emma. What if something happens? I don't ever want her to feel alone... fuck her mother who left her

Marinette stepped closer, her heart aching at how much he cared. She reached up and cupped his face, making him stop in his tracks.

Marinette: she is fine, Adrien. She is safe, and she is loved. You don't need to worry so much. no one will take her from you

He closed his eyes, leaning into her touch.

Adrien: I just want to protect her from her own mother

Marinette: you are doing that. But right now, you need to take care of yourself too.

Without thinking, she pressed a soft kiss to his lips, and then another one to his cheek, and then... to his neck. Adrien let out a low moan, surprising them both. He was tense, but as she kissed him, he seemed to melt into her touch. She could feel the heat between them growing

But before things could go any further, there was a knock on the door. Marinette jumped back, blushing furiously as Felix and Zoe walked in.

Felix: everything okay here?

Felix asked, raising an eyebrow at the scene before him. Adrien cleared his throat, still a little dazed, trying to regain his composure.

Adrien: yeah, uh, everything is fine.

Zoe: we just wanted to check on you. But it looks like you are in good hands.

Felix glanced at Marinette and then back to Adrien.
