She heads across the street to the coffee shop, her heart pounding, but not from excitement. She hated this whole situation already.
Nathaniel. Seriously? But she needed answers. As she walked into the shop, there he was, lounging in his seat like he owned the place.
As Marinette sat down, her eyes zeroed in on Nathaniel, who was lounging in his chair with that slimy grin. He leaned forward, kissing her hand like he was doing her a favor. Marinette didn't flinch, but she was already fighting the urge to punch him.
Nathaniel smiled "Marinette, I been thinking about you. You were incredible on that fashion show. You know, you don't need to waste your time with Adrien. You could be so much more than just playing mommy to some brat."
Marinette's lips curled into a sarcastic smile as she pulled her hand away "Oh, is that right? Let me guess, you got a shiny modeling contract with my name on it, and all I have to do is drop everything and follow you, huh?" her sarcasm hitting like a punch.
Nathaniel chuckled, leaning back in his chair, totally unfazed. "Exactly. I mean, think about it. You are wasting your life with that family bullshit. You got the face, the talent...... everything. Why settle for a boring life when you could have the world, travel with me, be with me?"
Marinette raised an eyebrow "Be with you? You mean, like Kagami was, right? Look how that turned out. You convinced her to leave her own daughter just so you could parade her around like some fucking trophy. Now she is a wreck, and you are already bored, aren't you?"
Nathaniel's smile faltered for a second, but he quickly regained his composure. "Kagami isn't like you, Marinette. She is a fucking party animal now. Every damn night, it's some event, some party... she is so boring. I made of her a good model, but now, she is really a loser .... it's exhausting. I need someone real, someone like you. Kagami was fun, but she is just... worn out also if you want me to be honest, she isn't even good in bed"
Marinette's eyes blazed, and she slammed her hand on the table, making Nathaniel jump. "Worn out? You goddamn asshole. You stole Emma's mother, you broke up her fucking family, and now you are calling her worn out? You disgust me, Nathaniel. Seriously, you are fucking evil"
Nathaniel scoffed, trying to play it cool, but Marinette wasn't done.
"You ruined that little girl's life. She hasn't been the same since Kagami left, and you have the balls to sit here and act like you did nothing wrong?" Marinette's voice rose, and she didn't give a shit who in the coffee shop heard her now "You think I'm going to be your next little toy? That I would ever leave Emma or Adrien for some piece of shit like you? Get fucking real"
