Lifeless

Once water, now ice
Freezing out every thirsty beast.
No longer people-pleasing
No longer allowing them to drink from the generous fountain of her heart.
Lifeless, cold
No longer a spring of hope;
They've used up her quenching kindness
Leaving a barren, faint semblance of who she once was
Fating her to never be the same.
