Huh?!

Today was Hoseok's birthday and we had all planned a surprise birthday party for him. We would bring him to the meeting room and pretend we'd watch our showcase performance. But the video would stop in the middle, and then our birthday greetings which we had recorded two days ago would start playing instead. It's a great plan!

Currently, I was sitting in the meeting room with Jimin, Yoongi, and some other staff members. We were discussing the plan with the staff, who were giving us tips on how to go about it. Jimin was supposed to exit the room halfway through the video and return with the birthday cake in his hands when our birthday greeting videos end.

The staff had already set up two small cameras secretly, so they could record the birthday boy's reaction.

Five minutes later, the remaining members entered the room and took up the empty seats so we could watch the showcase performance. The video started and all of us except Hoseok pretended to monitor the showcase seriously.

Namjoon said, "We did our best," when suddenly a fan's screams could be heard from the screen, "Hoseok-ah! Hoseok oppa!" Hoseok chuckled at the fan's enthusiasm while there were smiles tugging on the corner of our lips.

A few minutes later, we all could be seen performing 'Boy In Luv' on the screen when Hoseok voiced, "I couldn't do 'Boy In Luv' well." We all remained quiet because we know that he gave his best and that ARMY enjoyed the performance. What more could we possibly want?

We watched for a few more minutes before the screen suddenly glitched and turned black. Hoseok looked puzzled but we all knew what was coming next.

Seokjin appeared on the screen saying, "Hope-ah, first of all, a huge happy birthday to you. I understand that you must want to see your family on your birthday and all, but since you have us members with you, I hope you will be happy."

Hoseok laughed at the unexpected videos now playing on the screen while Jimin excused himself from the room to go to the "bathroom." Ha, we (except Hoseok) knew better. He was going to get the cake ready.

On the screen, Seokjin continued, "Yeah, thanks. Thanks for being beside me, and happy birthday once again." Hoseok was still confused by what was going on on the screen, when Yoongi now appeared in the video saying, "J-hope, hi, it's Suga hyung."

Hoseok asked to no one in particular, "When did you even film this?" None of us answered.

Yoongi in the video continued, "A huge congratulations to you for your birthday when you turn 21. Let's make more great music, even when we're in our 30's and 40's, okay? Congratulations!" Hoseok repeated his question, "When did you film this? It's amazing!"

Now I appeared on the screen. In the video, I said, "Hobi-ah! Happy birthday to you!... Uhh, I remember the first time we met and you were so...like...a ball of joy. I hope you stay that way forever and continue spreading happiness in every direction, to everyone. Also, I wish that we stay together, as Bangtan, for a very long time and continue making music for ARMY together. Happy birthday once again. I love you so much!"

After my little speech is over, Namjoon appeared on the screen and started wishing Hoseok, "Hope-ah! Happy birthday. It's already the 4th birthday of yours that we're celebrating together. 3rd or 4th, whatever...it doesn't matter. Congratulations to you for your birthday. I love how you always know...how to give love to others as well as to receive love. Uh...I love you. Hope you have an even happier birthday."

Hoseok repeated his question once again and this time, Seokjin and Taehyung answered him, "This was when we were doing the showcase..."

I quickly glanced over to Hoseok to see tears forming in his eyes. Noticing this caused me to get tears in my eyes too. I turned my head away to focus on the screen because if I looked at him anymore, I might start crying in front of everyone.
