Intro: Kang Arin

Growing up in the affluent neighborhood of Gwacheon, Kang Arin had quite a privileged upbringing. However, her life wasn't without its challenges. Her parents, both successful professionals, her father an engineer and her mother a teacher, often prioritized their careers, leaving young Arin with a sense of loneliness and independence.

To fill the void, she turned to music. Hidden in her room, she would spend hours singing and rapping, and it became her world of escape. Her natural talent was undeniable, and she quickly became known as a prodigy among her peers.

As she grew older, her desire to perform only grew stronger. She performed on the streets and participated in various local competitions, taking back home numerous awards. Her determination to make it in the entertainment industry became her driving force.

Despite the initial opposition from her parents, who had envisioned a different career for her, she persisted, her passion burning brightly like a firefly's light, illuminating the dark and harsh path ahead.

Along her way, she was supported by her childhood best friend, Kim Seokjin, who lived in the same neighborhood as her and went to the same school. He was two years older than her and treated her like his own family. He was the one who encouraged her to practice harder and audition.

When she turned 16 in 2010, she auditioned for the three big companies, namely, SM, JYP, and YG. While returning on her way home, she encountered a recruiter from a small company, Big Hit, who said that he had witnessed her impressive performance on the streets a few days ago, and then he proceeded to give her their company's card. Upon reaching home, she called the four different companies and got to know more about them.

The next day, she decided to audition at Big Hit, just in case she didn't make it in the three big companies.

A few days later, she got a call saying that she had been selected by Big Hit Entertainment. Saying that she was shocked, was an understatement. She rushed to Seokjin and told him the good news. They both celebrated her success heartily.

A/N: Hey guys, this is the first chapter. I know it's very short but I hope you liked it. This is my first time writing on Wattpad. I told myself I'd never write a story on this platform, let alone fan fiction, but I guess here I am haha. TBH, I have written a few short stories before (not on Wattpad though), but never a full book. I have read many ffs with different storylines and AUs but I think this idea stuck with me the most.
